Uttarakhand wants central funds to hunt for mythical herb | dehradun | Hindustan Times

“We strongly believe that the herb exists in Chamoli area of Uttarakhand, but we need funds and expertise to carry our research. The herb could be the answer to various ailments,” Negi told HT on Wednesday.

The whole resurrection was just random nonsense by the media,
Capable of resurrecting people, it is said to have brought Lakshmana back to life.
Firstly Lakshmana never died, he was near seriously wounder after his battle and near death, and the plant was needed for the cure. Dont know where this guy got the whole resurrection bit from.

I'm not going to criticize ones religious beliefs, but should a secular state really base a scientific expedition, simply on a religious story?

Facts is a lots of western nations still uses our religious tradition for various health purposes .US always funded such things on the basis of scientific expedition.
On topic :We should support this development .Even if they didnt find out Sanjeevani they still can save a lots of other valuable rare herbs

Waste of our tax money... but still I wonder how the world would react if they succeed

Its time to find Cures based on Nature

Nature Therapy will not only be less expensive but will also has less side-effects.

It is because they don't know anything about Hinduism and keep wrongly substituting Christian terminologies or myths for events related to Hinduism.
