Besides what will an independent Kashmir be like? J&K is part of the 10th largest economy by GDP/the 3rd largest by PPP, part of a country which is growing with +5% despite global recession and no reforms for years, part of a country with one of the largest middle classes and it will get its share of a one trillion USD infrastructure program in the coming 5 years

Besides, many Kashmiris are eager to do their part to defend themselves against a horde of trained terrorists.
