I don't want to start a flame war but Kashmir is the main problem between India and Pakistan. If that problem didn't exist, Pakistan and India would get along just fine.

True but things devolved to this point because of Kashmir. I was saying if Kashmir problem didn't exist from the beginning things could be different.

Presuming the gentleman is from Punjab, not much RSS influence in Punjab. Sikhs are in the majority there and most people (even Punjabi Hindus) think fondly of Pakistani Punjab and Punjabis.

True, in the UK Pakistani Punjabis and Indian Punjabis (mostly Sikh) are very close. Sad that many of them left Pakistan after partition, I think they would've done better than in India.

Yep I have Pakistani friends in the US as well. They are just like me in terms of language and culture.

I noticed this older gentleman on the train I take everyday which is full of Indians. He stayed completely silent.. I introduced myself one day as I saw him holding an Urdu newspaper and he completely warmed once he found out I was Punjabi. Today he reserved a seat for me so that we could chat on the way..
