Indian Radar data is just meaningless. One can generate fake tracking data for anything. One can simply make up data.

Or one can create realistic but fake data using a variety of approaches. For example based on existing and widely available parameterized target dynamics models (multi-modal models with roughly F-16 flight characters at varying altitudes and loads) one can generate fake measurements and then using recursive Bayesian filtering one can emulate a moving target F-16 as if it was really being tracked by a certain radar. All we need to do is to that sensor uncertainty models (e.g. say the parameters of probability density functions associated with measurement equation are fine tuned for that particular Indian radar, an easy thing to do). One can then generate arbitrary track data that is fake but indistinguishable from real data for that particular radar and this way one can show that india has shot down an entire airforce. It would be impossible for anyone to challenge such a “fake data” since its based on realistic target dynamics and measurement models. On paper it can be used to show india has shot down an entire fleet of F-16 including the one in US or elsewhere if Indian fake track data includes geo-spatial references over US too.

Note F-16 models are widely available even on US military research archive sites. Those models can used to generate indian fake data.


A much easier way would be to simply roughly plot a track while being careful not to exceed F-16 flight envelope. That won’t take much time. It would also show india has shot down something where ever wants it to show.


The point is Indian track proves absolutely nothing. Their track is made up. Most likely to fool Indian masses. A wreckage is a real thing not tracking plot lines.


Track can be easily faked and in this case Indian one is definitely fake.
