Indian Police at Work

So now you are celebrating your dictatorship?!! Or was that an excuse?

That was the reallity back then, and you can compare that with the today's democratic india.

They did nothing because they had clear instructions from higher ups to not bother the marchers. Any such incident would have unleashed violence across the country and thrown the government's azz on fire. Need I tell you about the number of pre-emptive arrests?
You will agree with me on this atleast?

Does not matter if they were told not to, my point was no 1 had beaten the crap out of them and does this mean ur government gives order to beat and rape protestors.

No matter how much we look or spit at India or try and point them at their bad sides in terms of threads like these, fact of the matter is that we have to set our own house in order first because our police is a laughter compared to theirs (with respect and dignity to those who died but didn't have to die if security was adequate enough for them and for the SL players bus) if our police force wasn't able to secure such a high level event/ transport of vehicles/players.
Lack of adequate funding perhaps? Corruption? Welcome to Pakistan.
In order for people to feel more safe in our country, our police force must be strengthened severely and financed even more.

I know, ours isn't perfect either, but the thing u are talkin abt, was unexpected attack on the srilankan players and no 1 was killde and i think pakistani police fought them off bravely.

Bravely it was indeed, they have my utmost respect and I can only bow down to those who sacrificed their lives for the safety of the players and for the image of our country.
However, they didn't have to die if they were more prepared and equipped, if they had more backup and if the security in general was far better arranged, they seriously didn't have to die, it hurts me because I know being a police officer especially in a country like Pakistan is difficult, I can only hope that their halaat improves as time goes on and as our economy improves, they too can benefit from it and see an increase and improvement of their daily job and their police duties.
