No one gives a dime about such a rating where the world's second largest economy china (at 79) is behind Botswana, Namibia and Jamaica and the likes of Bulgaria and Romania (16) ahead of countries like Qatar and Kuwait.

Since the pagans are jumping here and there and taking the list so seriously, lets look at it perspectively and put this 'third-world-country-with-a-first-class-hangover' in their place.

Being at 90, india is roughly at the same position where we were in 2013-2014. Since Modi government came to power, indian passport fallen down 14 place in just 6 years with 8 places being lost just over the past 1 year only! So now the passport of this 'third-world-country-with-a-first-class-hangover' is officially worst than Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Lesotho Armenia, Cuba etc.

YOu can not erase history by fortune. But, you can turn a blind eye to history.

1. After 1979- You people supported to Taliban and taking sides with the US. You people supplied all kinds of US-made arms to these people against the USSR. Provided the training in Pakistan by hosting them themselves.

Till 2001, you were hosting them in Pakistan because were thinking that the Taliban is our backdoor to remotely manage Kabul & Afghanistan.

Pakistan did all the investment by hosting to Taliban to make Afghanistan a Pakistani backyard.

But the situation got changed after 9-11, you were forced by the USA to support them against the Taliban.

Now, then only you were caught in trouble to youself because few Talibani groups got angry because you took the action against them in Pakistan after the US pressurized to you.

They started taking revenge and a fight started between you and these terrorists (Talibani Groups).

Actually, these were mistakes did by Pakistan herself.

Passport “power” is dependent upon the economic power of the country, relationship with the existing world order (take the current wooing by the US) and the quality and behavior of the citizens while traveling in these key countries and including immigrants.. this last factor is however overruled if the first two are important enough.

India checks the first 2 boxes as clearly evident and the third doesn’t matter as such anymore but in general while Indians commit immigration, tax and financial fraud in western countries as well - their own internal competition with a growing tech knowledge pool available and in charge of key tech companies is improving the quality of immigrants it sends abroad. Hence the passport is now gaining respect not just in the west but also in the middle east. In an odd irony, India’s burgeoning population is fueling competition that drives better immigrants and travellers

The ratings are taken with a grain of salt. To be honest I never looked at India's ratings. I looked at USA and Pakistan.
