Indian number 1 paytm shareholders dig

.
you find out that South Africa bank, and look at their off-shore shareholders and investors```its a known fact in our circle here

please give me your source. i can't find anything. It will help me if you help me here.

. .
naspers owned majority by south african standard bank while the later owned by china icbc bank and china citic group

Thanks for that info.

But I still couldn't find anything anywhere.

Can you please give me your source?

Also, I highly doubt that any single shareholder will own a majority (that is more than 50%) of a large and old company like Naspers.

Normally 33% can make the descision if you have common senses

But I did get the shareholding of Chinese companies in South African Standard Bank. They are nowhere majority.

Largest yes, but not majority.

Actually, there it is even murkier.

Because shares can be of many types.

I know it for a fact that Koos Bekker, the old CEO, controls the company due to special management and preferential shares.

Theoretically, a company can be controlled by members with any stake.

Alibaba is controlled by its founders, despite the fact that they together have less than 20% of the shares of Alibaba.

That is called A-B Dual Class Structure
Like alibba Jack MA has only 7% but have 42.5% right to vote,i think pyatm maybe the same case but not sure yet!!

You are quite knowledgeable in these matters.

I am sure you would understand than that ICBC's stake in Naspers is actually going to be very small. It has 20% stake in South African Bank. Even if we assume similar 20% stake of Bank in Naspers, the final stake in Naspers comes out to be only 4%.

still the biggest compared to other holders no?plus,as we all know, jack ma with his 7% it can control all the subsidiaries of alibaba,so this 20% or this 4% as you mentions supposedly may have significant powers!
If you have 20% all you have to do is to persuade the rest holders with more than 15% ,
if you have 5% or 10% it would be a harder job...
As far as i know,33% is enough to control a public company!!! except the a-b dual class structure of course!
