I'm from Hong Kong, which is ranked #2 in Asia on the Press Freedom Index. Whereas India is not even ranked in the top 100.

So probably not the best example to learn from. I do read the international media every day though, from BBC to CNN, the Economist, Reuters, etc. Never have I seen the people of any country talking about how ancient Vedic texts have detailed blueprints for space ships, hypersonic and thermonuclear weapons, stealth fighters, etc. Intergalactic vessels, India invented airplanes, etc?

Do you think that India invented airplanes?

Personally, I'm interested in knowing how many Indians believed that ancient Indians really created the inventions mentioned. CD, you should take a poll on ancient Indians inventions.

Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation tends to be the correct one. And the simplest explanation is that Indian people really believe this stuff, just like India's President Kalam said that India was a superpower in 2012.

The Great Leap Forward that started in 1959 was one of the worst tragedies in all of Chinese history (probably in all of human history), who the Hell was bragging about that? And bear in mind that India attacked us during that same famine, in 1962?

And bear in mind that India is still starving its own people today, more than half a century after that disaster happened for us. Maybe try to feed your people first, before complaining about a famine that happened half a century ago?

Have you really not heard of the Umbrella movement and the Pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong?

Both Umbrella movement and Pro democracy movement was crushed by chinese Govt. and both these movements were limited to Hong Kong.

You may live in hong Kong but you represent China i.e PRC here although I can understand your embarrassment in accepting that the Chinese mainland is nothing but a fancy prison. Thanks to British, your previous master (since of you live in Hong Kong) that you still get to enjoy LIMITED freedom when compared to Chinese mainland but I stand corrected, you have no constitutional right of freedom of speech.

Answer these questions:

Does your constitution i.e. Chinese Constitution allows its common citizen to have dissent from the political view point of the Chinese Govt. ?
And does Chinese constitution allows freedom of speech even when it is against its own self. ?

If not then you are just giving cosmetic clarification knowing well that your Govt. and your country constitutionally does not allow its criticism and political protest.

It is this freedom that a common Indian citizen have and here we call freedom of speech.
