The golden rule in foreign policy and with all other things is " we should not do to others what we won't want them do to us" or in other words "if another country does to us what we do to others, we're not going to like it very much". We should not get involved in the internal affairs of other countries. We should only take care of them if they pose a security threat to us. The foreign policy is advocated by Thomas Jefferson "Honest trade and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none".
That's a useful advice for nations incapable of taking care of its strategic interest ....e.g. India in 1947. This is 2013 ...and India is well aware of its Interests and will and should make all moves to secure it.
All nation interfere in other nations ..... they only control the extend of their interference. .........Indra Gandhi dumped Nehru's stupid policy ....no need to go back to that now.
