Indian Nationals Arrested by BDR

Follow the rule and take necessary action to punish Indian pole valuters...

You are right...BD in last 10 years has done some quite bit of good work in its social indicators..

Thank You. That being said - I will admit that Bangladesh is quite behind the curve on infrastructure spending. But all in good time. If you don't build up a skilled and intelligent workforce then the amount of your remittances suffer as well as the quality of your exports. And Bangladesh is not in a position at the moment to build capital projects like Padma Bridge and 6000 crore ring roads around Dhaka. No return on exports. However we are building our marine transport infrastructure quite nicely being where we are.

Bangladesh cannot export low value-addition items forever. The small ship-building and small electrical goods boom is next after the garments boom. Things are picking up nicely...

Why would I try to undermine India? It is what it is with misplaced priorities of spending on showcase projects and defense. But the point -as always, that I'm trying to make is that showing 0.2 percent of a country with somewhat developed infrastructure does not show what the rest of the country looks like. I'll admit that there aren't slums everywhere in India, but the pictures above still don't portray the real India which isn't very 'presentable' on PDF.

While China, Korea and Japan have in the last century lifted themselves out to first world status in less than thirty years - that feat hasn't been duplicated in India.

Ergo - my point is that India (as the communal and political mess it is) cannot be an ideal for Bangladesh to emulate or duplicate. Rather - India has a lot to learn from Bangladesh on social uplift fronts. And it is not Hasina who has done any of this like some Kolkata PDF-ers so loudly proclaim. The Nobel Prize for peace went to Dr. Yunus, not Hasina. And there are a lot of unnamed Dr. Yunus-es in Bangladesh.

Brother, hold on hold on. What the hell you talking about. Who the hell saying to duplicate India. India cant be duplicate, I remember after the Indian independence, most of the western world predicted about the downfall of India, and it will convert into many smaller nation, then what happen.

And politics, the world is talking about Indian democracy, we had showed the world that even in high population, diversified, in intense problem., we still survived our democracy. How much your democracy old?

And bro, really we dont give a shit that Bangladesh copy what, you can copy whatever your govt. want to. But if you asking from me, then my opinion that every country require its own model of development, you cant copy other, because they dont have your problem, and you dont have there. Like we cant copy chinese model, it will be disastrous for India.

So, develop your own model, and stop thinking about India, we have enough population to think about india.

Those people who dnt even have their own language, borrowed from India. Urdu and Bangali both belongs to India.
First develop your own language then talk.
Urdu and Bengla has nothing to do with India. You Indians always claim that every thing is made in India. I'm afraid that one day you guys will claim that Einstein was an indian. So please stop claiming such things. If urdu and Bengla is spoken in few areas in India then that doesn't means that it's indian language.

(Urdu ) is Turkish word which means “army”. It was awarded with this name because it was developed by the army of first Mughal King Babar. When Babar invaded south Asia, he had a large army which included soldiers from many different countries. They were from Turkey, Arab, Iran, Russia, Afghanistan, South Asia and many other countries. The soldiers had problems in intra-army communication because of language variation. These soldiers gradually developed a new language containing words from languages of all soldiers. This new language was called Urdu. Early Urdu was quite different from today’s and was not very fine form. Like all other languages, Urdu had to go through the stages of evolution. New words were created which belonged only to Urdu, hence Urdu began to become famous because of its flexibility.

When British came to south Asia, they brought their own language, English, with them. Urdu had no hesitation in accepting the terms and words from English, as their counterpart was not there in Urdu because of difference of culture. Many English words were used in their real form and others were changed according to the accent of Urdu.

Today, Urdu is continuously passing through the process of evolution because of its flexibility. Perhaps that’s the reason that Urdu has become the third most popular language of the world.

From the very beginning of Urdu, the local Hindus couldn’t and didn’t accept Urdu. They thought that it was a Muslim language as it was developed by the Muslim army of a Muslim King, Babar. Secondly, Urdu was written in Arabic style. Nevertheless, Hindus had to use this language and they had to accept it in one way or another.

Hence, they got a brilliant idea, which is till today working against Muslims, that they added a lot of words from Sanskrit into Urdu and began to call it Hindi or Hindustani. They used their Sanskrit style for writing the new mutilated and spoiled form of Urdu, which they called Hindi or Hindustani.

Today’s Hindi or Hindustani is the most mutilated and spoiled form of Urdu. But the Indian propaganda against Pakistan and its values and belongings has resulted in a strong belief of western countries that “Urdu is a form of Hindi or Hindustani”, which is completely wrong. The reality is opposite to it. Hindi or Hindustani is a multilated and spoiled form Urdu and it is the reality. The real Urdu is in Pakistan.

India has a policy of culturally diminishing Pakistan from the canvas of the world. For this purpose, it uses all of its resources including media and large population.

So never think that Urdu is something related to India. India has hijacked and corrupted Urdu to call it Hindi or Hindustani.

It is a part of Indian cultural policies against Pakistan. It is a cultural war, which Pakistan has to win.

Every one knows that The area which is now called india was once ruled by Muslims (The mogul empire) for more than 1000 years. And after Mughals, British ruled this area for 90 years. And then after departure of British, on 15 August 1947, India was created.
So basically urdu was created in mogul empire in South Asia, and india never existed before 15 August 1947.

Why does this AMMYY person want to stake his/her claim on Urdu so bad?

Urdu was an offshoot of Farsi developed in the Mughal court for Muslim employees. Culturally most of these Muslims became Pakistani citizens. Just because some areas in Muslim India adopted and refined it to their own liking (like in Muslim Lucknow) does not mean that the mainstream Indian culture has any claims on it. Hindi is an offshoot of Urdu with Sanskrit words. Everyone knows it but I guess this is news to some posters.

Dada - cool down. I wasn't claiming Indian model was altogether bad. I was claiming that it is not a good model for Bangladesh to emulate. Right now we need an extremely fast path to industrialization and we need to emulate what 'works'. That means South Korea is a great model which is roughly the same size as Bangladesh and a little smaller in population. We need to emulate,

1. South Korean discipline
2. Chinese fiscal conservatism
3. Pakistani, Malaysian and Indonesian culture in religion

This was a cornerstone of our 'Look East' policy.
