Describing India as an established missile power, Dr V.K. Saraswat, member the Niti Aayog, and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of Defence, on Firday said the Indian missile technologies are at par with global standards.

Saraswat was delivering a talk on ?The Evolving Trajectory of India?s Integrated Missile Programme? organised by the Indian Pugwash Society at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA).

Terming the programme as largely successful, Saraswat hailed the contribution of the multi-disciplinary industrial base that worked hand in hand with the Defence Reaserch and Development Organisation (DRDO) on different aspects of India?s missile programme.

Saraswat specifically pointed out the contribution and participation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the success of the programme.

Looking back at India?s missile programme Saraswat said the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) was conceived by former Indian president and renowned scientist Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to enable India attain self-sufficiency in the field of missile technology.

The Programme brought together a large number of research laboratories, government departments, industries, and academic institutions of the country within an integrated structure.

Among the missiles developed under the programme, Saraswat pointed out, were short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile Prithvi, intermediate-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile Agni, short-range low-level surface-to-air missile Trishul, medium-range surface-to-air missile Akash, and third generation anti-tank missile Nag.

Saraswat?s presentation was the first of the two-part series of talks on India?s missile programme.

Dude your country cannot even launch a 5 kg satellite.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Your elders said the same thing about our nuclear programme ...right? .now we have 130 nukes and you have 110 ... no country can kand at moon in just 70 years of its creation most specially a country like Pakistan which face too many challenges..

First let pakistan manufacturer its own Bicycle and talk about Satellites and Rockets

One day Pakistanis will reach moon while your coming generations will keep saying ,,,, let Pakistan manufacturer its own bicycle .....

Same report also says that out fissile material generation is more than yours only thing is we do not bother building many warheads.

Ha ha, Good one! :enjoy:
Le'me help you to have even a more funny one:
"Pakistan launched a satellite."
You won't even have to add Jupiter part. Pakistan launching satellite is a joke in itself! :D
Off Topic: I don't remember we have launched any probe to Jupiter yet. It is still in early phases of development, actually study.
Your elders said the same thing about our nuclear programme ...right?
No, we don't even bother. These are you guys jumping for "balance of power" (as if there was any ) in "South Asia".
.now we have 130 nukes and you have 110 ...
Pretty sure about that? We have 21 nuclear reactors (6 more in construction) compared to your 4.
Adding, your own administration has once said that India has enough material for 2,000 nuclear warheads.
India produces manifolds higher fissile material than Pakistan (case is different that we use it for energy & not bombs).

While India has most types of reactors, how many you do have? VVER, IPWR, AHWR or any type of LWR & PWR?

World chose India for help in making fusion reactor & not Pakistan so comparison isn't a good idea.

Do you have reactors for powering ships & subs? Can you make ion thrusters? Has your country expertized using nuclear material for boosting spacecrafts?
As far as Pakistan is concerned, it doesn't make Plutonium based tactical nuclear warheads so will have efficiency in order of just 10% efficiency.
Why only nuclear?

Why not biochemical, laser or EM weapons?
Pakistan is nowhere simply!
no country can kand at moon in just 70 years of its creation
At least you agreed that you are creation and India isn't.
But fact is that many countries created after Pakistan have performed pretty nice.

Even India started real program in 80s.

It's achieved by continuation of R&D and not by flapping flies.
most specially a country like Pakistan which face too many challenges..
Challenges? You got umbrella of both US & PRC. Let's face the reality, Suparco doesn't pose any threat to India that's why no one helped.
During the development phases of ballistic missiles, orbital launch occur itself (only if you "develop").
Pakistan rarely spends anything on researching, Pakistan has 20-35 times lesser patents/intellectual propety in per capita terms than India.
You've two options:
  1. Option A: You agree that you got missile from elsewhere. I will understand then how you got it without spending on research, why you can't launch satellites.
  2. Option B: Keep asserting that you did it yourself. But as you couldn't do anything else, means IQ of Pakistani scientists is lower than others.
A similar one for nuclear.
Because Pakistan has a similar record in nuclear technologies too.
No matter how much they call it "safer than India's" when they try nothing compared to India.
Pakistan even declared their record better than both India & Japan just because no accident occurred in Pakistan (Pakistan has no sophisticated tech handling which is difficult though).
One day Pakistanis will reach moon while your coming generations will keep saying ,,,, let Pakistan manufacturer its own bicycle .....
Seriously?
When a country with non existent space program like Pakistan lands on Moon!
Do you have any idea where India will be then?

India rocket technology definitely is comparable to that of Pakistan. Both of these two countries are in a tight race but India has a minor edge. Let's hope that Pakistan can pull this one out.

What is with this sudden missile break thorugh.. Iranians, Indians and Houthis all together seems to have hit some jackpot.
Just look at Press TV home page:
All chargedup over missile developments.

Poor rabies patient.

As per MTCR India makes 84 out 93 critical missile sub technologies.

As per MTCR Pakistan makes 34.

Your childhood trauma is sad. But your trolling is funny.

that was back in 2010 we were making close to 90 of the listed technologies by 2016 before joining MTCR & same report said China with only 91 less than France, Russia etc..Which is quite pathetic for world second biggest R&D spender

Source for country by country as per MTCR? I can't seem to locate it. It has been posted here too but is not showing up.
