Indian man crashes car into Wagah-Attari border gate

.
I have been up to the Wagah border, all vehicles are stopped some distance before the crossing point, then there are couple of security checkpoints where you are brisked.... if a person can drive right up to the gates, it is indeed a major security breach from the Indian side.

.
I beg to differ on this what type of action more he could have done to be seen as threat ,We live in special times where next time there wont be some one who was simply drunk .
Enough to prove my point

Right now people are more interested in asking why indian BSF didnt do anything!

.
"Preliminary investigations reveal that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment. He told us that he wanted to pay obeisance at Nankana Sahib, but did not want to wait for the visa and other formalities and adopted the illegal way," the official said.

LOL :cheesy:

salamm jammer bhiyye kaise misaj hain huzoor :azn:

ya you are right i smell a rat too looks like it was pre planned but timming went wrong for the driver on pakistanoi side or your soldiers had pre judged the intentions of driver no indian can take his vehical so close to gates and that too in such high speeds and the hight is no indian police stopped him even when he says he was drunk lolss yahan to gari me baith ke bhi peg lagao to police walle aa jate hain :pissed:

Guy is lucky that Pakistani gate stopped him. If he had broken through, in all probability Rangers would have opened fire to stop him. They had no way of knowing his intentions and what he is carrying in the vehicle. Probably Indian folks don't understand this but failure to stop at security check point or ramming through it will likely result in firing by security personnel. Given the situation and the attack at Wagah, Singh Sahib should be grateful to the strength of our gate.

looks like you have no idea about such crashes when was the last time you saw a damaged car on say a highway :azn:

A head on collision with an oncoming vehicle is a different thing, crashing through a gate different. By the time force dissipates to the other parts of the car, the gates would have given in anyways.

The damage to the vehicle looks pretty consistent with the crash test.

True I agree, the guy is lucky to be alive.

ok even if i agree to what you say why no sratch marks of bonnet . windshield, bumber and bonnet grille :azn:

just try crashing a maruti 800 in a bamboo gate at 20KMPH and you will know what im saying im sure that this driver had bad intentions for pakistani soldiers on wagah border and had bribed his SUV all the way upto pakistani side without resistence :coffee:

Probably the reason could be the gate..... Since it is not a fixed object, the gate would have taken the impact could have provided the cushion effect...... But how did he manage to reach the gate is the bigger question.....

Not really, what he would have done crossing the gate???? He would have been fired at by rangers suspecting the car carrying explosives.... How embarrassing it would be (already it is) for BSF??? They may have been casual on those check posts, and this guy would have crossed them without much resistance....
