Kargil was a tactically brilliant plan, but poorly executed in the strategic and diplomatic front on the Pakistani side.

What's so brilliant tactically about occupying mountain peaks when no one's looking and then firing upon 'sitting ducks' down below when you are found out?

i think real no of casulties will be a mistery frm both sides ..analytically speaking pakistan having a smaller force without air force could never have won the war the major reason was to show the world the seriousness of the kashmir issue which was shown but due to bad diplomasy we lost that front and now even to this day we know how much pakistan is serious abt kashmir ...yes another kargil wont happen but this time if another military adventure occurs it ll be provoked frm indian side as their ambition of cold start depicts a preemptive strike ..but this time ill advise india to be more wary due to PAs increased skilles in gurilla specialforces tactics .in cargil we gave a hard fight to india if war breaks GOD forbids this time itll be diamond hard than before no airforce or armour wll count in the modren warfare of new world

Whomsoever planned this 'show of seriousness of Kashmir issue' must have his head checked. It could never have achieved freedom for Kashmir...as far as diplomacy goes, obviously Pakistan could not have used occupied peaks to negotiate Kashmir with India....Lol.....

Who are these strategists? Whoever they are...they dont understand India...one bit...
