NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Chief Marshal P V Naik Wednesday stressed on the US to take stock of India’s reservations over the US military aid to Pakistan.

The US remained noncommittal Pakistan over the issue, however.

Addressing a press conference after the inauguration of Rajasthan airbase, he said India fears that Pak aid from the US could be utilized against India, adding Indian reservations are hitherto unanswered.

He expressed his unwillingness to use the air force in ongoing anti-Naxal operations, saying the situation has not worsened so much merit military action.

Air Chief Marshal Naik said the State Government and Central security forces are able to handle crisis.

“The state and Central security forces are trained to handle such situations, I don’t think the situation has worsened to the level of ordering a military operation,” Air Chief Marshal Naik said.

“At this level, it is not required. If the state is willing, they can order us at any time, we are ready for that,” he added.

Air Chief Marshal Naik’s reaction came barely 24hours after Naxals killed 76 CRPF in Dantewada.

Air Chief Marshal Naik said the IAF is trained for dangerous attacks and not for limited lethality.

” We are not trained for limited lethality, but for lethal attacks,” he said.

HE said the Naxals are our own people and the military can not be engaged against them.

He also said it is difficult to carry out an aerial surveillance on the Naxals.

Earlier, Army Chief, General V K Singh also expressed his reservations about using the military in anti-Maoist operations.

Man, maybe aid given to Pakistan should not be made public so that Indians would not be alarmed by this.

Hmm. Aid given to Pakistan should be made public so Indians are not ashamed of it? Why would India be ashamed if its neighbor lives on aid? Shouldn't it be Pakistan who should be ashamed?

Listen,

Every country has recieved aids in one way or another, even India recieved before. So there is really nothing to be ashamed off. The fact, is, why should we mention it publicly, went India always keep fearing on this aid, and recently American Indians complain about the F-16s gsold to Pakistan. I don't see why aids should not given to Pakistan to specifically counter the WoT, in which Pakistan deserves as they have sacrificed more than 35Billion USD and thousands of civillians lives on this.

Well call it crying or diplomacy or pressure tactics, what matters is whether we get what we want. And 'yes to an extend' is the answer.

yup these Indians are right,Pakistan should try to counter their diplomatic attacks rather then Laughing on it.most of their childish Cry plus money effects other countries.
so its better to make some policies over it and stop laughing.

for a country that talks about being a super power! or being to be competing with pakistan when it is supposedly competing with china! indians do cry alot!!

the shining, rising, bending over india should not get concerned at what pakistan is doing after all it is a self proclaimed super power!

:pakistan::usflag:
why india always cry??????

To get our way. And then that will make Pakistan cry!:yahoo:

Seriously man, this is diplomatic jousting. Basically trying to win the war in the political arena, so that it never gets into the battlefield. The aim is to weaken opposition as much as possible so that if war breaks out, they will have that much less firepower in their arsenal.

Even USA uses this policy to cripple opposition like North Korea and Iran. Except then its called 'sanctions'.

why indians are so afraid of us???????....although they have much better stuff in their armed forces but still they start crying on any development or aid for Pakistan....ufsoooosssss
