True. But there are some good hangout places in Rajouri. Tagore garden in a nice place to hangout too, especially pacific mall.

True art has always been used by revolutionists and thinkers. Have you read metamorphosis? Though not paining, but a very true and thought provoking depiction of society (applicable even today?) You will like it
In paintings, I am more into surreal art. Not a big fan of Post-modernism paintings

i have read about it though not read it... since you recommend it, i will read it from this online source ( Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka ).

surreal art seems more a artist's presentation to himself or herself than something to be understood by everyone... for example, i never understood dali's "the persistence of memory"... look at the confusing understanding of it...

so surreal art is more a personal indulgence.
