Also it is better standard of living just last year I went back to Delhi and my Nagpur, I was amazed by the changes, but the thing is with rapid Industrialization it also comes with its own problems ie. True, private colleges are popping like mushrooms in India. We cant close what we already have, it will be chaotic, but what we can do is stop goddamn announcing new colleges every now and then. Plus we need students who became successful in life to donate back to the college whatever amount they want. We lack this donation culture in India.

Indians have reached the critical point in international finance as well- to the point that they have started hiring other Indians (just like how it started with IT).

Global fund managers based out of Singapore and Dubai are increasingly Indian.

Eventually, fund managers will be all Indian or Chinese. Chinese for Chinese funds and Indians for a lot of Western and other funds besides Indian funds.

So it will be IT, Petrol Pumps and International Finance

The Patel hotels arent a joke, they are an actuality. Essentially a patel family (and in this case an extended family,one cousin has ten, the other seven, the other four and so on) owns a string of motels across the South eastern US. So the idea of ending up in a Patel Motel is an actual saying here.

There are Indians in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia as well.

Provide easy work visa norm for Indian skilled and unskilled labor and see the difference.

As American of Taiwanese origin, I am sure your attempts to convince Taiwanese Govt to do so will be fruitful.

Its unwise to drop infrastructure development at the cost of the other. Both should be developed parallelly.

Well it's a double edged sword. You can't stop it altogether and let's face it, there will be people willing to settle in West. I say it's a good thing if a third of them come back. They will bring good experience. In case of Pakistan, people do tend to come back. Partially because of dual nationality permission and partly because of cultural differences as many Pakistani families tend to prefer younger kids to be raised in Pakistan. I don't know about India but Pakistanis tend to reinvest their earnings back in Pakistan mostly in real estate. Skyrocketing prices of properties in Pakistan is because of this phenomenon. What I would like is to prepare better environment and opportunities here so that expats would prefer to come back after a certain time. This environment should be in Industrial and Commercial sectors instead of property business. With their experience in West they will be of benefit to country and society. I don't see many Pakistanis wishing to permanently settle abroad (some of course do). All they want is just better governance and job/ investment security.

True but infrastructure is many things. Pakistan has pretty good road and transport infrastructure. One of the best if not the best in region. What we need to focus is on other components of infrastructure. Most urgent is power generation and transmission, education centres and their quality, health services and industrial growth. We are sitting at comfortable position as far as roads, communications (internet etc), housing, ports etc.
