Notion Ink Adam is one of the most anticipated Android tablets. Notion Ink will officially launch the tablet this year and is already taking pre-orders for the device. It will be a really big challenge for all other manufacturers who are launching tablets this year. Our friends over at SlashGear were lucky enough to get their hands on the Adam during the CES 2011, and they have posted some shots of the Adam.

What makes Adam different from other tablets is the Eden UI, which is an impressive user interface and comes with amazing multitasking. The powerful Nvidia Tegra 2 processor makes the multitasking even faster. I hope Notion Ink will launch the tablet soon in the open market, and as the tablet is manufactured by an Indian company, so I hope it will hit India before hitting any other country.

One of THE most anticipated launches of the year. I believe even apple is taking note of this.

Four versions of Adam will be launched each will use NVIDIA’s Tegra 2, but there will be Pixel Qi and LCD models and a choice of WiFi-only or WiFi and 3G. The company has confirmed that all will come in under the cost of a basic iPad; our source tells us that the LCD version will cost $399 for the WiFi-only and $449 for the 3G model, while the Pixel Qi version will cost $449 for the WiFi-only and $498 for the 3G model. We’ve also heard that, if Notion Ink can clinch a last minute deal they’re working on, a further $25 could be shaved from each of those figures, plus there will be special discounts for universities and students.

Adam 2 is expected to use NVIDIA’s as-yet-unannounced Tegra 3 chipset and run Android 3.0 Gingerbread
