India now overtook south korea as one of the largest automobile production countries in the world(5th)
What south Korea exports in automobiles is all south Korea inventory, all products south Koreans including the OEMS...
What India exports in Automobiles are not Indian cars but automobiles made by say Ford USA in assembly plant in India and USA importing the say Ford Eco sport assembled in India, all the profit, inventory goes to the FORD USA, only a few jobs and a pittance to India.
Quite funny that what India includes in car exports is included in the total cars manufactured by say FORD and Hyndai of S.Korea.
Even the OEM's were all foreign franchise...they just uses the Indian labor and yes the land, car assemble needs about 10,000 parts to be joined and assembled together.
So cars made by Hyndai, FORD, Toyota, Nissan goes into the principal inventory, even if India keeps on blabbering that they are made in India.

You can get the average looking at the car sales in India and Pakistan. In Pakistan car sales keeps on hovering around 240,000 to 285000 per year, including the local produced cars and imported ones, not the buses, trucks and 2,3 wheelers included but SUV's and CRV's added.
In India it keeps on moving from 17,00000 to 20,00000(that is 17 lacs to 20 lacs per year). Now that makes car sales in India about 6.5 to 7 times that of Pakistan and if you look at the population difference(India population at about 6.5 times that of Pakistan) the difference is negligible.
