Indian Brahmos missle crashes in Mian Channo

Besides, I doubt we have the ability to shoot down something moving at MACH 3.

Even if there is, Military wouldn't share details. Pay attention to what's being said like it was tracked since left the launchpad and all the time accordingly.

Yesterday, somebody shared details on this thread as well that lot of unusual jets activity was already noticed exactly around the time of crash.

I am sure, military decided to say what's best in national interest and maintaining secrecy.

DG ISPR's press conference was a disaster. It leaves you more confused than one could have been guessing from the pictures of the wreckage. If the projectile was being tracked, and it was known it was entering Pakistani airspace, what countermeasures were put in place?

A projectile which was traveling at Mach 3 and was not a jet, what kinda guessing game was going on in the PAF AD's HQ?

Even a PDF member can guess that right; that it was a damn missile. So how did we ascertain that the missile was not a threat, and was it armed or not? And is it about the capability or was it just lack of quick of response?

And since we have established that India sent a nuclear-capable missile at us, what's should have been the response? This is a clear case of testing response time. And we are asking India what alien thing they sent to us that was flying at mach 3 and hit one of out town. The press conference shouldn't have happened!

Not only the reasons you mentioned. During Feb 2019 response and Indians threat to launch missiles attacks on Pakistan. one of the reasons given that Pakistan will launch 6 times the numbers in missiles , because Pakistan would not know if the missiles launched by Indian are carrying nuclear warheads or conventional warheads.

So why this one was let in, without the knowledge if it is carrying a warhead or not, or what kind of warhead!!!

Legitimate Qs Pakistanis should ask its military leadership, it shouldn't go without Qs. This PC was a complete shambles. Same old same old, diverting people's attentions pretending to be mature and in control.
when as a matter of fact the inaction shows weakness and lack of decision making.

Normally a retaliation would be executing the Nuclear Doctrine
For a Missile attack they may have decided to observe and show restraint rather then press the retaliation button

Such a attack could be viewed as a first strike attempt

It is a good that Pakistani Officials showed restraint and did not immediately launched a counter strike

So it's confirmed by the DG ISPR and PAF AVM that it was indeed a supersonic missile fired by India which changed its course during flight so couldn't be a ballistic missile for sure.

Indians launched this missile to test our Air defense response and it's disheartening to hear that we just tracked it and didn't/couldn't shoot it down. Where are those SAMs deployed! It was attacked in general direction of our sensitive area of southern Punjab. Are those HQ-9s resting in some concrete bunkers??? 🤔

Giving a reaction would be playing right into their hands.... Take a chill pill guys... If ADF had any shortcomings... They will be quickly fixed and brought up to speed. This has been a blessing in disguise for Pakistan Armed forces

All I know is that property value in Mian Channu went down by 5 lack’s

Sorry too soon

When on 27.2.19 PAF paralysed the Indian defences, people here were complaining that PAF has revealed it's secrets to the enemy, now same are asking why nothing is being disclosed.. I say let the Indians keep guessing whether their missile was shot down or it just crashed.... what I would like to know is if the missile crashed as a single piece making the crater, what caused damage to the few houses in the vicinity.

I thought the Brahmos was a ant ship missile, seems like has land attack capability as well?

Seems like a dud accidental fire.

My only issue with what has transpired in the past 30+hrs is that why did we wait for 24hrs to make a Emergency Press Conference for the DG-ISPR to respond on behalf of the Military.

Even if they didn't have the answers of where it was launched from, or what speed it traveled, or how it crashed... They should've released an Official Tweet or whatever way they choose for the General Public to know as to what has happen.

Here we are speculating that: it's a Bird, it's a Plane...no, it's just a BrahMos that's run out of fuel.

We were so slow to break the news that the Indian Media had already crashed an F-16, a MIRAGE, JF-17 & of course the J-10.

Aray bhai, being a responsible Nation is all well & good, but at the very least inform us & Diplomats.

They have S-400 SAMs that are theoretically better at intercepting missiles and they fired a supersonic cruise missile at us, because they have deployed this capability for years and we don't have any like that in our inventory. So it was a properly targeted to tease and insult our armed forces that you still lack these capabilities. That's disappointing. :undecided:

I demand from Army to test fire a supersonic cruise missile on 23rd March, nothing less. Even if we have to buy/borrow a couple of missiles from China to just launch them. But it has to be done fast like what we did at Youm e Takbeer

I believe not long ago Pakistan allowed supply of Indian Wheat to Afghanistan , in return we get a sneaky backstab move from India

Similarly , Pakistan opened western front , what we got in return , Bombing in Peshawar

Lessons should be learned from mistakes

With India , you have to understand showing a "Kind Heart" or compassion means you are literally saying to a Cobra snake to not bit you

ISPR/PAF is at fault here. For hiding things. And let indians run extended propaganda against the Armed forces. Same thing happened When TTP destroyed SAAB AEWC. This mentality of hiding things cause problem for Us and Pakistan only. It only provide opportunity for enemy to run rumor mills. !
You, my friend, have hit the bullseye. The image of infallibility has to be maintained. However, they do not realize that the integrity of the armed forces of Pakistan takes a battering when the truth seeps out from the cracks in the age of social media and smartphones. I reckon this gives us an ideal opportunity/excuse to test the survivability of one of our own assets against Indian ADS (S-400 preferably). Does General Bajwa have what it takes to do so? That's questionable!

It is a moot point if it was a test gone wrong. If it was, why did the Indians not intimate us? Why did they not initiate self-destruct procedures? If it was not, firing it was intentional and meant to test our response/ADS preparedness, then it is a flagrant violation of our sovereignty which evokes at least a proportionate response if not more.

The way ISPR presser went ahead, it seemed the purpose was to hush up the matter more than anything. There were also statements to the effect of "if there's a next time." Apparently launching a supersonic cruise missile that lands some dozen kms from one of your frontline ABs gets a response to the effect of "agli baar maar k dekha."

I do not need to spell it out for folks here what this means for the national defense and how it emboldens the enemy who understands only the language of strength and pain.

I would still caution on overly critical conclusions without knowing the exact picture. Yes the Indians may have a sinister plan but it is also likely they just bungled up a test

You seriously think that Indians are going to give any sane reason for the firing of the missile!! Like asked by DG ISPR!!

Or they even going to give a response!!
Where would DG ISPR and Pakistani military establishment would be, if India ignores their "Requests" for explanations!!
These should not be requests, but demands for explanation or in case of no explanation a threat to reciprocate the action with excessive force.

If this missile had proven to be laden with High explosive or even more scary, the tactical nuke. What could have been our response to India after that? @PanzerKiel sir elaborate it a bit. Would we be still protesting even then!

Because there's nothing off limits from this current brainless indian regime. They should be taught lesson 5 times over to keep them in their limits.
