Indian Brahmos missle crashes in Mian Channo

this is why thee was a meme among my old class fellows saying Pakistan can prevent the Indian Sub from entering Pakistani waters but couldn't prevent a suicide bomber from killing 60 plus people in Peshawar because the cops commander is busy saving PTI in order to be a top runner for next Army chief same goes for our foreign minister who seems to be on an election campaign instead of addressing international issues, our balancing act in US vs Russia and now this. he seems to be AWOL as well as our "defence" minister Khatak who has invisibility cloak on.
Pakistanis are their own worst enemy. Couldn’t take Srinagar in 48 because of indecision, bungled up Op Gibraltar and PAF air strikes in 65, basically sat and took hits in 71 while wasting 90k men in a poor defense plan, let reciepts for cold weather gear lead to losing Siachen, gave up a very useful tactical advantage in Kargil because of poorly conveyed objectives, let men be massacred during WoT due to poor strategy and C3I, and finally gave up the idea that they could hear the enemy on the 27th through over eager article writing.

I don't think it malfunctioned and went rogue...this was deliberate but indians were not counting on their brahmos getting intercepted and shot outta the sky. It is REALLY starting to look like it was intercepted by HQ9P. mian channu is almost 70km away from Rafiqui Air Base...

If my hypothesis is true, then this is a huge achievement for PAF Air Defence and also for the HQ9P. This would be the firsts time in history that a super sonic cruise missile was intercepted in mid air.

We also have SPADA to protect our PAF airbases. The proximity of crash site from airbase also puts this missile at hit range of Spada. Maybe purposefully ambiguity has been left in the press conference by Pakistan Army. So that enemy doesn't know which asset of ours is capable of taking their highest tec cruise missle down. MDBA Spada 2000 max mach speed is 4. HQ9 max mach speed is 4.2. Both could have taken it down.

Are you having a weed?

Middle of nowhere? Damn it’s a big town you are talking about

It’s not DHA or Cantt but trust me Pakistani lives there and pay taxes as well

How can it be nowhere?

Did our army knew while it was in air that it didn’t have any payload?

What is the purpose of monitoring it inside india and when it turned towards Pakistan did we scrambled our jets ? No we didn’t

Very poor show by ISPR and our army this time
Acknowledge this so they can improve otherwise next time it might be a proper show

It’s an act of War and giving explanations ourselves if lame as well

We should give notice of 2 hours to india to apologise or be ready for our surprise

This is why the military has SOPs . They war game this stuff all the time. On Feb 26 india sent fighters from four directions. The airforce had SOPs to deal with the situation ,CAP response was measured forcing the enemy to flee. The next day according to a pre defined plan aircraft took off and bombed Indians occupied Kashmir….SOPs

The Indian submarine came near Pakistani territory did the navy sink it ? No because Pakistan is not at war.

The military can not be emotional they have to be calculating 210 millions Pakistanis depend on them.

The military was monitoring this missile and it was not moving towards any facility , if it had they would have shot it down. Even if the air defense shot the brahmose down they would never acknowledge it as it will make it easier for india to assess AD capability. On the other hand as there is no loss of life Pakistan sit on her hands and make the Indians squeal… that is so much more satisfying.

There are no good options for the Indians

1) acknowledge they are incapable and incompetent

2) declare nuclear war with Paksitan as they know very well that Pakistan has demonstrated strategic. And cruise missile capability

K

yea totally, the Indians must be shivering right now and ready to sign the surrender documents to us.
Read response above

Not exactly - I put it down to the OODA loop in play and generally conservative SOPs.
It’s plain in culture as well, Pakistanis are unable to operate in general without looking for a reassuring yes from a supervisor because they fear retribution in case a wrong decision was made. Its culturally stuffed into the mental processes of all government employees.

Oh I agree.

I wouldn't be surprised if the DG AAD himself was called up to ask what to do!

We intercept the Brahmos supersonoc missile , it makes india worried becuase we have advance techolongy and this become a powerful symbol in the region. Now question is how we response back to india .

Who said the missile should be intercepted only if its heading towards a facility? Bloody civilian lives don't matter to you or what?

There was no loss of life on 26th February either, still we responded. Point here is not loss of life, rather our sovereignty and our borders are being challenged.

.
this was a probing strike to see how we react or dont react.

this was an Indian test of our response ability and capability to intercept , track or shoot it down. and also our diplomatic response.

what happened to drone is secondary issue
there will never be a definite answer. but Indians got their answer
they either managed to expose our weakness to physically stop the attack or exposed our high tech air defense system which might have "alleged" brought this dud down.

had it been Pakistani Babur missile test then France, UK and US would've started a UNSC meeting on instructions of India by now.

our capability to shoot down drone is unclear, our diplomatic response or reaction was clearly weak and nonexistent.
On the positive side, cwe now have a sample of Brahmos. Will be great for reverse engineering.

Looks like that booster doesn’t drop off and instead remains on.. but the flight path makes sense..

now here is a theory @JamD @Bilal Khan (Quwa) @kursed did the missile dive too much? In other words another case of incorrectly fed data?
Mian Channu is about 500ft msl so did the system assume an incorrect terminal altitude and just slammed in there?

It would thicken the plot

Indians are having a bit of a habit now of entering incorrect altitude aren't they? :P

Great logic

So militarily only respond when if anything is going to hit its installations. if not then bloody civilians can die as its not their responsibility to protect them.

I guess if few civilians are killed in Mian Chanu (which very easily could have been the case ) then its not a big deal as long as no military is targeted.
