Indian arrested in Saudi Arabia for trying to cast a spell on boss

The point that I was trying to make about Hinduism doesn't necessarily dissect the ideology that it embodies, but rather if somebody was opposing your faith then it means he doesn't believe in it. Personally, I have done a humble reading regarding Hinduism and I have a fundamental respect for it.

How exactly sure are you about your Consulate? I believe that I have mentioned that Indian expats are the least among all to commit a crime, and every time we deal with the Indian government we see an immediate response and cooperation.

If you work in the line you claim to be in then I am sure you would have done a reasonable study of religions of all your immigrant workers. Without that you would be poorly equipped to do justice to your job and as such I dont doubt it.

About the Indian consulate, I am happy that you share a positive view about. I am sure it is a subjective & comparative view and maybe it fares better than some of the other consulates you deal with.

However my view is from the other side of the fence, that of an Indian immigrant point of view. Safe to say we wont be granting them 5 star ratings for services rendered. Its a long and painful topic and is certain to rub you the wrong way and it has a lot to do with Indian govt. mute view of Indian citizens status in SA.

Its something too personal for me to mention here. As i said, its one of those things one has to see for themselves to believe it exists.

Trust me, i too at a point laughed at the mention of sorcery and believed it was something only in fairy tales.

could it be that its just a false correlation.. I mean I have heard very educated people saying this... have seen people with ghost in their body(their claim no mine)
I am not laughing at you, I remember as a kid when there was a big news that Ganesha is drinking milk, went to nearest temple and waited in queue for quite some time to give milk and to my amazement the idol did drink the milk... its only in the evening when two scintists came on national tv and explained the phenomena that I felt like stupid... :)

Yes, the SNSEs maintains a fully-detailed database for every nation of expats and visitors living here. I'm not an Indo-Saudi specialist though ,but I can see that the bilateral relations both nations enjoy are being enhanced on daily basis.

The remarks that I made regarding the Indian consulate is solely and squarely based on my personal experience with them. I have met with them twice in KSA ,and once in the Indian consulate in NY, and I didn't see any difference to be quite honest. Coincidentally, the day I met them in NY was the day when the UN took a fair stand for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. India was the first among all nations -with its regional superpower and economic weight- to vote for upgrading the Palestinian status which grants the latter an access for the international criminal court. But that isn't it! We've also received an official letter from Ambassador Mukreji.

Anywho, We have extreme interests in India :) ,and we understand those folks came in to work and figure out how to feed their kids. Aside from that, we also have aplenty of professional Indians as well, their help is greatly appreciated.

We aren't worried about Paks and Indians at all here in KSA, they're at the top of the list of expats who are well-known for their law crimes rates.

On the contrary, we OFTEN witness human rights abuses against foreign people committed by scum nomadic baboons, and let there be no doubt that those individuals will be prosecuted twice as harshly as Expats, if they'd proven to be guilty.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Indians (Hindus specifically) also believe in black magic and co.?

Laws in reasonable societies are not based on black magic etc. Indians are free to perform "black magic" as long as they do not violate any laws. As per many Christian and Islamic religious leaders doing Yoga is also "Satanic".

Addressed in post #33. It all depends on what kinds of crimes are committed under guise of practicing witchcraft.

But the important point is that "witch-craft" per se is not illegal, as long as no crime is committed.
