Indian Army's helicopter deal with Boeing enraged Moscow

Indians were negotiating with Boeing from last 3 years for procurement of new choppers for Indian Army Aviation and at last the deal finalized for induction of Apaches and Chinooks in Indian Army. It should be remembered that Russians offered MI-28s and MI-26s to Indian Army as substitute but Indians did not accepted the offer because they found US equipment more suitable for their needs.

As an aftermath, the change in Russian tone is observed just a day after Indian government gave the green signal for American helicopters. Russian Deputy FM Sergei Ryabkov saying that Moscow considered Islamabad its“closest partner” is a bad omen for relationship between Moscow and New Delhi.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is also working as a seducing factor for both China and Russia. Russians already offered some new steel mills and gas pipelines to Pakistan in order to participate in the emerging trade corridor. MI-35 Hind-E choppers and flankers if handed over to Pakistani military in good quantity will create a decades long partnership between Islamabad and Russia in future.

Russia, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey should negotiate with each other to participate in that parallel peacekeeping force with a strength of each brigade. Forums are already present for defense and economic corporation but these countries are not as much active as westerners.

There is no space for Iran because of their illegal terrorist activity on the border, Mid East, Syria & Iraq. Pakistan in my opinion should not have any sort of agreement with them.
