Indian Army personnel treated well by Pakistan

New Delhi: The four Indian army personnel, whose helicopter mistakenly landed in Pakistan-held territory on Sunday, were grilled for about four hours but were treated well.
Army sources said on Monday that the Pakistan army personnel questioned the two pilots and two crew members about how they came there and other related issues in an effort to ascertain their motives.
Once satisfied that the incident was inadvertent, the Pakistan army released pilots Maj Raja and Maj Kapila along with Lt Col Verma and Akhilesh Sharma of Engineering Corps.

The pilots of the chopper, flying from Leh to Bhimbhat in Jammu and Kashmir on a routine sortie, went across the Line of Control at around 1320 hours after bad weather encountered them and they wanted to land at the nearest helipad. But soon after the landing, the pilots and two other personnel of the Indian Army realised that the helipad was not in the Indian territory but in Pak-controlled Northern Areas. So Indian Army pilots weren't aware that they're landing on other side of the LoC? :what:

The military helipad was located in Olding sector near Skardu, about 20 km from the Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil sector, Army sources said here today.
Once on the ground, they were surrounded by the Pakistani army and escorted to the nearby building, they said. They were questioned but treated well, the sources said.
Sources said seconds after the Cheetah flew across the LoC, an Indian post in Kargil informed higher formations about movement of a chopper. However, they thought it was a Pakistani helicopter which had violated the Indian airspace.
But later as picture got clear, all the higher formations including the Leh-based 14 Corps, Northern Command and Army Headquarters here were informed about the actual situation.
After their return, the four Army personnel are being debriefed about the whole incident.

Their would be no reason to treat them any other way.
I think the media often exaggerates the feelings amongst the 2 armies. Every time i hear of an incident of this nature i hear of the utmost respect for each others army. It was clearly an error and there is no harm done. I hope the countries leaders can build on small incidents like this leading onto something more substantial

I dont think that most indians or pakistanis have hatred for each other. we just have a few who wind or bait the other side and things get said at the heat of the moment. I think many who come here on internet pontificating if they were to meet would have a laugh and joke and a drink and would be freindly. i have lots of indian freinds etc

India troops 'help Pakistan army'

Kashmiri people are desperate to be allowed to cross the border Indian troops have crossed the Line of Control dividing Kashmir to help Pakistani soldiers rebuild their quarters, the Indian army says.
The move follows the massive earthquake on Saturday which killed at least 23,000 people in South Asia.
Both countries have also eased travel curbs, allowing some Kashmiri families to return home via Punjab.
A new earth tremor thought to be an aftershock has been felt in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the quake recorded at 0123 local time Thursday (2023 GMT Wednesday) by the US Geological Survey.
Map of earthquake zone
With a magnitude of 5.6 and centring on an area 135km north of the city, it was the strongest tremor recorded since the weekend in Pakistan which has felt several dozen aftershocks.
Limited access
According to the Indian army, the Pakistani soldiers invited the Indians to help them rebuild some of their bunkers after sleeping in the open in increasingly cold temperatures
