More than 5 billion dollar sent by the Indian expatriate working in Bangladesh. You should at least use some of the money to take care of our Bengali brethren in India. You should at least be little grateful.

Do not know about the people but Awami league is almost there.

What a stupid thing to say "Bengalis should convert as last resort", as if we are all being painted by one brush because of AL and Hasina.

But there was no Nawab Siraj ud dulah in them or none of them was of religion which ruled Delhi for 1000 years

It doesn't matter who ruled over who. And neither do I care.

I do not think the Nepalis view India with high regard. So even if we all graciously convert to Hinduism, they still won't be satisfied. Their gains after 71' has created an image in their minds from which they take for granted with a view of apathy and disdain. With the expectations of the modern age and living the 'American Dream' in a country of 1.3 billion (and growing, not aging), is indeed scary.

Sorry, but I'd rather be an atheist than a polytheist.

I think we all need to set our priorities straight for starters. Regardless of views! Bangladeshis do appear to be united behind a purpose(s) even for one second. And that is a problem.

This is an aspect of the Bengal war which is unknown-the looting conducted by Indian soldiers and their atrocities against the Bengali population. We made mistakes no doubt but most of us have learned the lesson. India still oppresses innocents in Kashmir though. It has learned nothing and will learn nothing until it is taught by muslims/sikhs/christians.

And they say the Pakistani soldiers and 'Razakars' slayed prominent Bengali intellectuals. Some say those atrocities were done by Indians. Confusing eh?

As for me, I don't know what to believe really

We have learned from our 1000 years of occupation, thank you.

Do you know words like honor, truth and humanity ?
No. Only Muslims know that. Iman, sach or Insaniyat. Rest of the world is jahil. :pop:

Where was the looting?

RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES, I SAW THE INDIAN ARMY HASTILY PAINTING THE PAKISTANI VEHICLES INTO OLIVE GREEN AND LOADING LEFT OVER WEAPONS AT SHER E BANGLA , SANGSHAD BHABAN MP HOSTEL., FORMALLY KNOWN AS SECOND CAPITAL, USED AS BASES BOTH BY PAKISTAN ARMY AND LATER BY THE INDIANS.
The weapons were gifted by the Pakistan Eastern Command to the Indian Command. The IA did what they deemed fit.

BDforever is a pro-Pakistan Bangladeshi.
That is natural.

Mohammad Abdul Jalil ( M. A. Jalil) was a freedom fighter and Sector Commander of the Sector 9 of Mukti Bahini during Bangladesh liberation war in 1971.

Early years

Mohammad Abdul Jalil was born at Wazirpur in Barisal District on 9 February 1942. He passed the matriculation examination from Wazirpur WB Union Institution in 1959, IA examination from Murry Young Cadet Institution, and joined the Pakistan army as trainee officer in 1962. He obtained his graduation and M A in History during his service in the army. M. A. Jalil was promoted to the post of Captain in 1965, and was elevated to the position of Major in 1970. In February 1971, Major Jalil came to Barisal on leave from his place of posting in Multan, and joined the war of liberation in March.

Bangladesh Liberation War
He was appointed commander of the Sector 9. He was, however, removed from the position in the month of November. After Bangladesh Liberation War he was arrested by the Indian army for what they alleged was his "misconduct" towards them. He claimed he was arrested because he tried to prevent Indian soldiers from Looting. This was a visible instance of the tension that existed between the Indian Army in Bangladesh and the Mukti Bahini.
