Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang released photographs showing two vehicles of the Indian Army crossing the boundary.

The red line in the middle of the photographs is the boundary line according to China. Both photos have vehicles of the Indian Army allegedly crossing the line.

China claims the photos showed India on "China's side" of the boundary line. It did not mention the location but the photographs are thought to be from the Doklam plateau, which China refers to as Donglang, near the India-China-Bhutan tri-junction.

I thought Chinese destroyed 2 Indian bunkers.
Or it a tit for tat one

Isnt there a restriction on having buildings like bunkers or towers near the border?
Here are a few highlights of the border defence agreement between India and China:

# The two sides shall implement border defence cooperation by exchanging information-including information about military exercises, aircrafts, demolition operations and unmarked mines and take measures conducive to the maintenance of peace, stability and tranquility along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the India-China border areas.

# The two sides will jointly combat smuggling of arms, wildlife, wildlife articles and other contrabands.

# Under the agreement,Indian and Chinese sides will assist the other side in locating personnel, livestock, means of transport and aerial vehicles that may have crossed or are possibly in the process of crossing the LAC.

# Work with the other side in combating natural disasters or infectious diseases that may affect or spread to the other side,

#The BDCA says that the cooperation shall be implemented through flag meetings and periordic meetings between officers of the relevant Military Regions.

# The Article VIII of the agreement says that both sides shall exercise maximum self-restraint,refrain from any provocative actions, not use force against each other if the border defence forces of the two sides come to a face-to-face situation in areas where there is no common understanding of the LAC.

# The two sides, under the Article VII,also agreed that either side will have the right to seek a clarification from the other side in case a doubtful situation arises with reference to any activity in border areas.

# The two sides agreed that they shall not follow or tail patrols of the other side in the India-China border areas.

# Going by the border defence agreement, each of the two sides may invite the other for joint celebrations on major national or military days or festivals and organize cultural activities along the border areas so as to enhance cooperation and understanding.

# The agreement also says that the two sides may establish Border Personnel Meeting sites in all sectors,as well as telephone contacts and telecommunication links at mutually agreed locations along the LAC.

Allow me to make a small change:

we don't want to do anything to China as long as they don't do anything to us and our buddies (Bhutan).
Perhaps live and let live is hard to follow eh?

Better? :)
