Indian Army Chief humiliated by PA's Brigadier

.
Just as an aside: Only for today, for the purpose of this report, the India media is a fine, upstanding and accurate group of hard working professionals?

I thought they were mostly conspiring against Pakistan?

That said I see no humiliation. I see a representative of Pakistan's army openly asking, being allowed to ask, hard questions of India's COAS in a forum in India. I see this being reported by Indian media. I=n short I see a lot of things to be proud about my country.

I see the Indian army COAS - notice what the video says and leaves out - answering questions, some of them not too well. I also see that the text in the video misrepresents what follows at least on one occasion. Deliberately.

In short, much ado about not much.

The point is not about humiliation. He was embarrassed and caught on the back foot by the Pakistani brig about all the hoopla around the ISI. That is it.

Secondly, this Indian forum is hardly an exception. The former President and Chief of the Pakistani Army provided more than his fair share of opportunity to the Indian public to do the same.

In that case, I would agree, grudgingly! He should have been more prepared.

Certainly. But, one, he was a former president, and two it was in India, not Pakistan.

Ok, I'm really quibbling now. I think I need to get off this thread, not worth it.

The report is not designed to project that what the PA Brig said was true; just that the IA chief is an idiot for not being able to hold his own when questioned about his usual rhetoric. The Indian media is fiercely jingoistic, unlike the Pakistani media where there was no criticism of Musharraf's much more intense and nationally provocative visit to India. The Indian media were the ones who took some of Musharraf's words as a vindication of India's stand, and now they're the ones who are insisting the IA chief's words are an affront to the Indian stand. The Pakistani media is very different to all this...

i have to say it PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!!!!!!!!:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

can someone tell me the name of our great BRIGADIER???

but cutting the Indian Army chief some slack...here he couldn't do much see Army Chiefs are symbols of POWER and STREGNTH of a nation and they tend to say and claim things that people want to hear.....and usually they are adressing their own audiences however here he was confronted by something he didn't expect and was just stuck....lol ok enough of a bail out of the INDIAN CHIEF....!!!

PAKISTAN ZINDABAD HAMESHA!!!!:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

If you do a cross-examination between Indian COAS Deepak Kapoor and Fmr. COAS. Gen. Musharraf you can see that Gen. Musharraf is clearly wiser, more articulate, straight forward, courageous, and disciplined.

I am surprised the Indian COAS cannot hold his own when reasonable questions are asked, and this is the man they have leading their Army (no point intended).

Firstly, asking the COAS to provide proof was a good call by the Brigadier. The Indians have developed a habbit of blaming the ISI for even a flu virus, and must be checked whenever possible. But, the COAS could have hardly revealed secret information directly to a Pakistani Brigadier, even if he had an answer. So, yes, he was caught off-guard, but not because he is an idiot. It was slightly embarrassing, though.

Secondly, I think the Indian COAS is a brave man for admitting that the firing from Pakistan's side could be misunderstanding or retaliatory. The Indian media should have used this to better inform the Indian public of what is really going, but unfortunately, it was used to demonize the COAS for defending Pakistan's side of the story. That is why this Indian news channel is trying to make him look like a fool.

Lastly, the "comments" in the second video posted are just nonsense. It really embarrassing to me, as a Pakistani, when I see something like that. I see more videos of this sort from the Indians, but regardless of who posts them, it is not necessary at all.

Excellent find! Another indian deception gone bust in their face.

My request would be to Mod and otheres to save the video somewhere locally in the forum. Indians will try to remove the video from youtube or public site using copyright excuses.
