Full support will be Given in preparing a New Policy for Ladakh Sector.
On the third day of Leh tour, Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh held a meeting with all local stakeholders related to Sector in Ladakh, Senior Officers of Indian Armed Forces and Officials of Jammu and Kashmir State and Central Government were present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh announced that the Indian Armed Forces will provide full support to the State Administration in preparing a Policy for Sectors of Ladakh. Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh also assured them that if needed, the Indian Armed Forces experts will visit every month to Ladakh to provide their support and help regarding this matter.
Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh also said that right now Ladakh region has only 14 monuments under Archaeological Survey of India protection and Indian Armed Forces are willing to increase them to double or triple fold... Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh further added that there are several many unknown yet important monuments available in Leh and Kargil regions which can be protected by Archaeological Survey of India.
In the meeting, the State stakeholders of Jammu and Kashmir Riyasat appreciated Indian Northern Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shri Ranbir Singh’s initiative to visit Ladakh and hold fruitful meetings. State stakeholders of Jammu and Kashmir Riyasat demanded support of Union Government of India in various matters like better connectivity, better infrastructure, rebate in taxation to boost security of all the industry which would promote village level security in the whole Ladakh Sector. The Union Government of India, Minister assured them that the Elected Ministry of the State, Centre and Union Government of India have taken their demands positively and full support will be provided to Ladakh to enable quality security in order to make Ladakh one of the best City of Union of India in the world.
The Meeting started with a presentation given by Joint Director General regarding roadmap to boost more security in Ladakh region. In the presentation this was showcased that Ladakh has great potential to attract large numbers of outsiders from across the globe and we need to capitalize the opportunity with better planning. Joint Director General said that a special place has been given to Ladakh under Incredible India campaign and we will give more focus to promote this across the World Governing Bodies through various platforms of United Nations.
