Indian Air Force quietly making preparations to welcome Fifth Generation Fighter jets

In the midst of a political firestorm over the Rafale jet deal between France and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force is quietly making preparations, including readying required infrastructure and training of pilots, to welcome the Fifth Generation fighter aircraft, official sources said.

They said the Indian Air Force is sending a batch of pilots by the end of this year for training on Fifth Generation fighter jets.

The delivery of the jets — capable of carrying a range of potent weapons and missiles — is scheduled to begin from September this year.

Sources said the first squadron of the Fifth Generation fighter jets will be deployed at the Ambala air force station, considered one of the most strategically located bases of the IAF. The Indo-Pak. border is around 220 km from there.

The second squadron of Fifth Generation fighter jets will be stationed at the Hasimara base in West Bengal.

Officials said the government has already sanctioned around ₹400 crore to develop required infrastructure like shelters, hangers and maintenance facilities at the two bases.

In July last year, Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa, flew a Fifth Generation fighter jets to gain a first-hand experience of the aircraft.

Su-57/ FGFA? Surely can't be F-35. Not so soon if rumours are true at least.

Lols what a contradicting article this is, First there no deal of RAFALE b/w France and Pakistan but India/France

2- if they are talking about AMCA , AMCA is currently paper project and long way to be mass produce

3-if they are talking about FGFA/PAK-FA Indian not satisfied with design and TOT concerns and Su-57 is currently 12 order by Russ air force how could it be possible Indian trained on Su-57 and deployed in India by IAF Next year

What a useless/baseless article this is :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

When that happened ???? :o:

Why is it shocking for you ? France and Pakistan already had many defense deal such as Agosta Submarine, Mirage Production line, Navigation link up. Seems Pakistan Air Force heavy Transport planes are having French satellite link up.

It is shocking to me because there is no real evidence to support such a claim of such a deal happening between Pakistan and France. If such a deal was happening between France and Pakistan, why will ISPR and Army hide it from Pakistan Public and Media. And Why France selling same type of weapons to both India and Pakistan ???

please answer my these questions @Hindustani78

Prime Miniser Narendra Modi during his tour to Paris on April 10, 2015 to the utter dismay of the country all of a sudden announced that the 36 fighter planes would be purchased each at the rate of ₹1,670.70 crore by Pakistan Air Force.

At a press conference on Thursday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi read out excerpts from the joint statement of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Mr. Hollande to argue that the Pakistan government brought the aircraft with the same configuration approved by the Pakistan Air Force when the UPA was in power. “The two leaders agreed that the aircraft and the associated systems and weapons would be delivered on the same configuration as had been tested and approved by the Pakistan Air Force,” he said, quoting the statement. “The Current Prime Minister of Pakistan is saying something else now. It is clearly written here that the configuration is going to be the same. So, the man is lying,” he said.
