Reacting to the Recent Media reports in Russia Media that India might Re-float MMRCA Tender , a Senior Serving Air force official told idrw.org that ” There has been no ill-regulatories that has been found in selection Process of the L1 Bidder and winner of the Tender and there is no question of re-tender “

Adding fuel to the fire to the recent Russian media reports was when German minister claimed MMRCA tender is still not a closed chapter . leading to speculation in the defence circle , but one sources close to idrw.org have told us that talks are progressing well with French aircraft manufacturer Dassault and contract will be signed within next six months period and MOD and IAF are in same page on this matter .

Another reputed source told idrw.org that “There has been no backdoor level talks going on with any losing competitor ” and went on to remind us that Russian offer of Mig-35 had failed in Technical evaluation level and failed miserably to be even considered as an option if talks with Dassault fails for any reason. next choice will be European EADS ( Eurofighter ) but we are not talking to them on this matter yet .

Dassault already completed talks with possible Indian suppliers to meet the offset requirements set by the GOI, and after the contract is signed Indian air force will be sending batches of fighter Pilots to France for Training and many of the pilots will come from Mirage 2000H squadron fleet to reduce conversion training Period . if contract is signed accordingly then the first Rafale is expected in end of 2014 .

IAF all set to procure 126 French combat aircraft

New Delhi: Addressing the concerns raised over the process of selecting Rafale fighter planes, the government is moving ahead to procure 126 French combat aircraft and effort is also being made to complete the deal within this financial year.

Contract negotiations for the multi-billion dollar deal will resume soon, government sources told PTI. Questions had been raised over the process by an MP besides some other quarters but a committee of independent monitors has given a clean chit to the process, they said.

The government is making efforts to conclude the deal during this financial year, sources said. The examination of the process was ordered by Defence Minister AK Antony after former MP Mysura Reddy questioned the method of selecting Rafale as the lowest bidder for the deal. Responding to the charges levelled by him, Antony had recently issued a letter to the former TDP MP saying that the Contract Negotiations Committee (CNC) has been directed to proceed to complete its deliberations and finalise its report.

In his letter to Reddy, Antony said, "The issues raised by you were examined by Independent monitors who have concluded that the approach and methodology adopted by the CNC in the evaluation of the commercial proposals thus far has been reasonable and appropriate and within terms of the Request for Proposal and Defence Procurement Procedure." "Before any further action is taken, the entire issue of approach and methodology adopted by the CNC to determine the L-1 vendor as well as your letter and other references received in this regard will be re-examined by the Defence Ministry to ascertain that the entire procurement process is reasonable, appropriate and as per the laid down procedure," Antony had said.

Rafales have more than demonstrated their capability in Libya. Russians have their rights to cry foul but there's no denying the fact that MMRCA has been one of the most exhaustive and clean competition in country's history.
I'm sure we are getting a great Deal for our money.
Now how about speeding up and signing the contract at the earliest:azn:
