The gap in terms of MER comes high because of higher gap between nominal and PPP GDP of India.
In terms of total volume when measured in PPP, India isn't bad either.

Second, I wasn't talking about quantity or volume but configuration or composition of National Output of both countries which is closer as you called India an agricultural country.
