Rijiju said he was referring to the govt's plans to improve border infrastructure within India's territory and not in Chinese territory.

NEW DELHI: Brushing aside China's reservations to its plans to develop infrastructure along the border, government today said it has every right to undertake such projects in Indian territory and no one can stop it.

"We will do certain infrastructural activities which have not been done in the last 60 years. The Chinese should not have a problem with my statement.... They cannot stop me from doing my work,"Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju told reporters here on the sidelines of a function here.

China had recently reacted sharply to a statement by Rijiju that India was planning to construct a road along the international boundaryfrom Mago-Thingbu in Tawang to Vijaynagar in Changlang district ofArunachal Pradesh to match China's road infrastructure across the McMahon Line.

"There is a dispute about the eastern part of the China- India border. Before final settlement is reached, we hope that India will not take any action that may further complicate the situation," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman had said.

Rijiju today said he was only referring to the government's plans to improve border infrastructure within India's territory and not in Chinese territory.

"I didn't say that we are going to do anything on their territory. I am an MP from Arunachal Pradesh. I am constitutionally elected and I have the constitutional right and obligation to do whatever is right in our territory. I am looking at border management also," he said.

Yes, Arunachal Pradesh is our territory. Whether our neighbour likes it or not we have every right to develop our own territory. Infrustructure development till boarder areas is importent for our nations progress. It has both economic as well as military importance. Its good to see finally steps taken towards this direction , i am more than happy with GOI.

I really don't care whether some or all Tibet region is disputed or do I care for China take back south Tibet, the dispute between India and China, I just want to see another war between your 2 nations, let spark the fire crackers already, Indian poster in here brag too much when India army wouldn't fire the bullets at the Chinese soldiers matched into the disputed territory, just all talk and no action. Since India government claim those land inherit part of India sovereignty and foreign troop enter as they please with history of both side fought a war over same disputed area.

when u build infra at the disputed lands (read Azad Kashmir , Aksai chin), then its ok......and when we do it in our own boundary, its not ok ???? whats with this over sensitivity ????

China build have nothing to do with me, the reality China won't relinquish their claim of those land with both India and China satisfy with border settlement, they fought India over same area in 1962, they already stated their position on the issue, they won't give up without a war or settlement that for sure.

Disputed --- only according to PLA & rest of the world recognises it as indian territory....
South Tibet --- There is nothing called South Tibet in India . It's called Arunachal Pradesh & they are not related to Tibet in way .. It was a part of India for 68 years .. There is no way China can take heart of Indian territories without waging an all out Nuclear war.

Except for warnings to Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, USA, India....... what has China done to take back Arunachal Pradesh Your China only knows to give warnings after warnings and fanboys on PDF come up with Nuke India, PLA attack India. I have been hearing this since 2008 on PDF

All this time,
1)You guys WARNED us not to get close to Vietnam./..... we did. And are now drilling oil in SCS.
2) You threatened to NUKE India if we allow Dalai Lama. Well, last I heard he is living peacefully in Dharmashala and is roaming in India freely.
3) Since 2010 I am hearing Chinese fanboys go on about attack on India to take back AP. We built railways, roads and now building an airport in Tawang.

Kindly, before next set of warnings please give us atleast a future date if possible when your PLA will come and not run away like last month.
