There is nothing surprizing in it, America has been against China since its revolution in 1948 and would ally with anyone who is against china. When war broke out between china and india in 1962, america fully supported india and even offered them nuclear umbrella at that time just because india was fighting against china(though india was heavily outnumbered by china)

This is just presentation at best. Nothing to worry about. USA is not overly concerned about China as USA is more about its defense industry. Precisely why Donald Trump has managed to secure the defense contracts with KSA, Qatar and now India.

If you look at the history, USA always used both Pakistan and India to keep each other on edge. But USA is not stupid to believe that India alone will be alone to keep China on edge. At best, Donald Trump is milking India to dry [money].

China is too big for India and USA knows that. I believe USA has other plan for China since USA plan might have been backfired if their plan depended on using Russia and China to keep each other on edge just like Pakistan and India.

Since USA's foreign policy rather pushed China and Russia into one strong alliance with Pakistan on the way, so naturally USA has no choice but to gather all the possible revenues to meet the demands if WW3 ever comes into the picture. Hence USA is busy cozying KSA, Qatar and India for their money.
