It already has.. Hence India has moved upwards but not to the extend of it making headline news.. Anyway Modi admin is just in to a year and a half.. Results may take a year or two realistically.. While things looks to be moving in the right direction, Best not to overhype and expect miracles

India doesn't say that it is a high-income developed nation and achieves these rankings.
We are still a low-income developing nation and this kind of ranking is a good sign.
We know that we have many things to improve and you don't have to remind that to us.

Its good to see some progress but anyone who thinks this is because of "reforms" should be disabused. There have been only the tiniest of changes and the figures reflect a change in perception rather than actual reforms. India just refuses to carry out a root and branch reform policy necessary for LONG TERM improvement in the indicators. This means when this "feel good" mood dissipates as it ALWAYS does we will be back to the harsh realities.
