This appears to be India trying to paint Pakistan's nuclear weapons as insecure. The US would not fall for this, however. Dangerous escalation in the fake-news wars, though.

Edit: To clarify, I am not posting this as factual. I am posting this to discuss the misinformation campaign escalating into a dangerous new territory.

What India might not know is that Pakistan is one of only two non-NATO countries the US has authorized to carry nuclear weapons on the F-16 platform.

Image shows possible accident near Pakistani nuclear weapons facility after Balakot
Exclusive satellite image accessed by ThePrint shows burn marks on the earth, indicating a missile may have fallen off & the explosive burnt up.

FAKE NEWS. The article is by an indian so it is most definitely bold faced lies.

@waz @WAJsal @Horus Please close this thread as it based on fake news from an indian.

Yes the F-16 can be used for nuclear delivery - but whether or not we were truly authorized and if we really are - that really is something.

The US ‘authorized Pakistan to carry nuclear weapons on the F-16’? Doubt it.

The US does not want Pakistan as a nuclear weapons state and it’s not going to encourage Pakistan’s ability to use nuclear weapons. Now whether Pakistan on her own can use the F-16 to deliver nuclear weapons (without any US ‘authorization) is another matter, though it is far more likely that the nuclear weapons delivery system will be missile based rather than aircraft based.

I won't get into the whole "US and Pakistan governments work together much closer than PDF suggests", because this is the Pakistan-specific sub-forum, and I won't go down that rabbit hole. Cheers.

Back in the day when we didn’t have the delivery mechanisms in place F-16 was the only option. This is a well documented fact.

I absolutely agree. The US won’t allow Pakistan to carry nukes on F-16s that fall under the monitoring regime. I don’t know if this is the case for all F-16s.

JF-17 is the more likely candidate to carry out nuclear strikes.

I don't have any idea what is legitimate coming from that domain, but that is kind of the point. It is an article that ripped directly from 38north.org, which shows they are trying to rile up the West.

Dark smudges / patches in satellite imagery are now the most versatile tool available to an Indian. They can be claimed to be anything from holes, to proof of missile explosions, to proof of bomb strikes.

Some estimates suggest that the average Indian now spend more time online looking for dark smudges/patches in satellite imagery than doing anything else in their daily lives

The West or the US won’t be able to do much about it. The Indians can beg all day long because that is all they can do.

Our nukes are here to stay. As long as India threatens Pakistan with nukes we are going to have them too. Remember that Indian introduced nuclear weapons in South Asia. Pakistan responded.

I get that you are aggressive towards those with my flags near their name, but I'm never going to take the bait. Cheers.

I am just stating the facts. Your flags don’t mean anything to me.

Like I said, our nukes are here to stay. We built this capability even when the whole world was united against us. They are here to stay and we won’t be intimidated by anyone.

India begging to the West to take notice makes zero difference to Pakistan.

after chernobyl the ability to detect reactor meltdown by satellite is very easy and the fallout would have been detected too. not to mention in delhi the us has a sophisticated surveillance setup to monitor the area.

.
Can't a Pakistani operative sneak a backpack nuke into India during conflicts? I'm sure there are spots on India's border that are not secure. Eliminates the need for aircraft since there is no Indian early warning and would cripple India before they are able to respond as well.

Indian government and their media has lost all the credibility in the world's eyes after the boastful February 27 claims. The world saw, What Pakistan government and media said turned out to be truth.
