US weapons are not cheap and the baggage that comes with a purchase of weapon plateforms from the US cannot be ignored. It would be in India's interest to diversify our weapon purchase as a mix of the products of all the international suppliers. While startegic purchase should be made from Russia, France and Israel with TOT along with an effort of indigenous development of all the required tech. over the period of time buy the other important assets from the US.

its a trade and we have no choice as china even if we agree with all its demands will work against our interests so we have to keep it in check and the best way is to form a allince with USA there is no other choice its like a trade if we want to make ourself strong due to a unrelenting and ever agressive enemy we have to let it know we are no push over either and buy and get the best techs from whrere ever they come later we in due course can take our skills and tech to level of US and then go like we want

last i remember.. GoI rejected proposal from US govt to send troops to Afghanistan on its WoT.. and in those period US were sending you billions of free aid for its WoT.. so dont BS jst for sake of it
