You're naive. Without the Mullahs Iran's economy and society would've been a lot more modern, developed and prosper. Iran has the largest brain drain in the world. Iranians rather invest on the other side of the Persian Gulf than in their own country, that has become a cesspool of corruption, nepotism and clientelism.
The future for Iran, under this regime, ideology and current situation, isn't bright at all.

You firstly need to know that people do want this system and mullahs and that's why they fought for it almost 8 years . many people say Iranians revolt for free oil , energy or water but Imam Khomeini said that when the revolution had happened .
You've almost forgotten that it was mullahs who ended the US and Britain Slavery and Colonization in Iran . I agree that we need some changes in the system but accusing mullahs to everything is foolishness . You just need to ask yourself why the US is trying to take this government down while their land is thousands of kms away from Iran and also we haven't done anything against them . You say our economy and society can be better if mullahs go but you should know an economy is based on US support or a society is based on their influence is a sh*it and if a country wants to stand on it's feet not be an influenced puppet it has to have it's own culture , ideology and pattern which can be found in Iran . I ensure you with out mullahs and Islam our country would be a di*ck in the US hands like before the revolution . development in Iran or Muslim world is a danger for their profits .

You know why Iranian brains leaving Iran and mostly go to the US and European countries ? Cos they neither have loyalty to their country nor faith . Cos if they really loved their own country and were loyal to that , they wouldn't have left here to give their knowledge to our enemies and if they just had 1% faith to Islam they would have stayed here cos what they're doing is a betrayal . But they have none . ( I don't say its all their problem , no , our system has failed in that issue too and its a big weakness )
Unlike you I do believe in this ideology ( Shiism ) cos it always encourages people to study , work hard and standing against injustice . It's our problem or laziness that has made us a retarded country . it's not with the ideology .
