India has become 8th largest economy this May after the 8.5 % growth in GDP in FY 2010-2011, I read it in Hindustan Times on the day GDP growth was released for this year.... obviously it will take time for the websites to update themselves.

It takes time for IMF and WB to update their figures .

Our current gdp is around 1.7 trillion$
but in wiki it is still showing 1.4 trill $
