India - student suicide by one aspiring to write a major exam

It only means he’s not competent enough else

Yes, your troll posts on the forum and non-empathetic post right here shows us how much competent you are.

Else what kind of education system you want

Something like what the USSR had or something which produces Elon Musks etc.

Here we are job seekers instead of job creators, here business is still considered low class stuff if it gets more money than a 9-5 job.

Here I partially agree with you. Yes, we in India are a nation of job seekers but our goal should not be of job creation, not of propagation of wage slavery. We should create groups, companies etc which not only give scientific, meaningful employment to Indians but also contribute to humanity.

Startups are something that is difficult, so people go to USA, IT Boom helped us but won’t forever.

Those parents who don't allow their children to pursue their startup dreams should be condemned publicly.

Imagine how much more easier life would have been for your cousin and his parents if education in India would have been free at all levels and of one's choice so that people wouldn't feel the need to take up some course just because it is currently fashionably high-paying even if the student wants to do something else or the course really is mostly useless in truth.

This is an educational policy made without considering the rural population, while the best human standards across the world calls for policy makers to keep the lowest of low in mind, before devising any policy.

Many argue that, this will bring competent physicians and engineers to the society. I wonder, we are not going to change the syllabus, or the teachers, and the teachers also qualified themselves thru the earlier method of education. How this can bring a revolution in education ?

Happens in Pakistan too. The fault lies in the parents. They pressurize their kids so much that at times their immature mind cant handle it. In my uni a student jumped off the 3rd floor because he failed an exam and that he couldnt face his parents. He survived though, with broken legs n shoulder n arm and lifelong physical issues. The parents came raging in and trying to blame the uni, but the experienced professors quickly exposed them and told them its all ur fault. You need to teach ur kids to deal with failure and tell them that failure is not the end of life and its not a bad thing.

Tamil students take these exams too seriously i failed twice in maths and didn't give a $hit, my mother did though with a danda:(
Actually it's to do with teaching.. in Pakistan once I got 2 % in a maths exam and went on to be an engineer. Today's maths is my strongest subject....love it. But as a 4/5 Yr old...I didn't get it. Kids have too much pressure on them

South is overqualified, they need to come down rest of the Indian standards. No doubt, my Southern colleagues are extremely knowledgeable with extreme patientence.

No pressure no daimonds ...
Yes because children other than being smaller organic meatbags have so much in common with diamonds other than containing carbon.

This system of pressure both from school, society and parents creates machines, highly unreliable machines.

Indian society is already severely unbalanced because of this mentality, throw in the backward reliance on sanskar and parampara, and you have a country full of 3rd world bots.
