Its not a bad idea. They can be an autonomous region under the union of Indian. When the rise in sea level start submerging the islands, they can be moved to some Islands in Adamans or LAkshwadeep. Until then it can be a good military asset for India.

You have no idea on how much trouble it will bring to give a free go inside the state. Bringing internal trouble in the name of an external asset in a region where we have stronghold already is all asking for trouble.

A military base in Lakshadeep island is more than enough for that region.

Apparently they are likely to settle in culturally similar countries- Pakistan is more Arabized now- and they'll have to pay for the land they gona live in-

i dont believe you- maybe you have gone as a tourist- they dont let you integrate with locals much- how you estimated they are more arabized now?- Just because of their shariah law?-

Then why they are buying land in Australia

If we want Military Base in Indian Ocean Region Lakshadweep is more than enough. Our primary concern should be to prevent foreign powers especially China having their base in Maldives.

They havent radicalised much but there are elements inside.

They cant afford to get radicalised as their main source of revenue is from tourism .

The issue is a cultural one.. the Islanders trying their own version of things which is of a dangerous threat.
