The tendency worldwide is for locals to protect illegals who have been living among them for some time. That is going to be a challenge. The challenge is multiplied manifold when you realize that these illegals would be living in Muslim areas. Yes, there needs to be a special body armed with certain powers. But we need to be very careful that under its guise legal Muslim citizens are not harmed by vested interest under the garb of Bangladeshi illegals. It will totally spoil the goodwill Modi has been building up within the community over the past two and a half years of his tenure. No riots, not social upheaval, no Muslim pogroms. Those who hate Modi would be extremely troubled and depressed. But I digress. As I said in an earlier post, ensure strict penalties (jail, hefty fines, police record, passport restrictions, etc.) for anyone caught employing a Bangladeshi national who is in India as an illegal. No employer takes in people without a proper background check (whatever form it takes) and most employers know when they are employing illegals. Make it extremely unpleasant for them to do so. That would leave the Bangladeshis very little wiggle room in terms of options. Some will move to crime. But the majority will start to slowly filter away back to their own country.
