India has set clear terms for talks with Pakistan, outlining a five-point agenda and asking the neighbouring country to stop exporting terror and inciting violence in Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi has made it clear that if Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar visits Islamabad for talks with his Pakistani counterpart A A Chaudhry, the discussion should focus on the progress made in bringing to justice the perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai and 2016 Pathankot terrorist attacks.

In a strongly-worded response to Pakistan’s offer for talks with India, New Delhi also stated that it would like to know when the neighbouring country will vacate the territories of Jammu and Kashmir it has been illegally occupying.

Jaishankar wrote to Chaudhry, accepting the invitation for a visit to Islamabad, but made it clear that “the discussions should focus first on the more pressing aspects of the Jammu and Kashmir situation”, according to Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Swarup quoted from Jaishankar’s letter to Chaudhry while interacting with journalists on Thursday.

Jaishankar conveyed to Chaudhry that the discussion must include cessation of cross-border terrorism by Pakistan and ending incitement to violence in the Valley. He also proposed that the talks should include the progress made by the Pakistan government in detaining and prosecuting internationally recognised terrorists, who have been active in Pakistan in exhorting and supporting violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jaishankar also wanted a discussion on closing down terror camps in Pakistan where militants like Bahadur Ali, who was recently arrested in the state, continued to be trained for attacks against India.

New Delhi also recalled the signing of the Simla Agreement in 1972 and Lahore Declaration of 1999 by leaders of both the countries to resolve bilateral disputes within the framework of the two documents. “The world is aware that Pakistan has a long history of violence and terrorism against India, as also in the broader region,” Swarup said.

The letter also recalled the repeated attempts made by Pakistan against India, sending armed raiders to Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 and 1965, infiltration of military personnel across the Line of Control at Kargil and continued support of terrorist activities.

Pakistan has been raising its pitch on the ongoing violence in Kashmir, stressing on rights violation by security forces, particularly during the crackdown on agitators following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.

There is nothing to talk.

Where is the progress on Mumbai?

Where is the progress on Patankot?

India hanged Mumbai culprit
Pakistan relieved by Indian inquiry comission of Pathankot!

Ajmal Kasab was alive after capture for 4 years during those days Pakistan refused to accept him after court hanged him Pakistan requesting for Investigation. Does Pakistan Judiciary system keeps any terrorists more than a year ?

Pakistan is did not relived by any commission, it was Pakistan who stopped reciprocal Indian investigation team.

So you admit Pakistan is more powerfull than India as it can toy india around and all india can do is beg and plead?

Don't need to Talk with pakistan................. Pls don't waste Our TAX money...

No need to talk. India can shove their five points up their dark stinky bhangi A$$.

Instead, Pakistan should:

1) put a complete ban on all Indian media content in Pakistan including bhindian movies;

2) disallow any passage of Indian trade of goods to / from Afghanistan using Pakistani soil;

3) disallow use of Pakistani airspace to any India-based airliner;

4) openly and vocally support all Indian minorities and highlight their issues at international forums;

5) increase the heat in Kashmir for India many fold;

6) try the Indian Spy on court and hang him publicly;

7) show to the whole world how genuine Baluchis are patriotic Pakistanis and how those who surrendered recently confessed of being used like tissue papers by a few sardars;

8) increase emphasis on two-nation theory, Kashmir, Pakistan-India water disputed, past wars between the two countries and the oppression of minorities in India..... In our school curriculum. At the same time, teach about the nature of relationship Pakistan has had with Turkey and China among other countries.

hey Indians multiply that 5 point agenda by 7, print it on 132 column sheet, roll it up and shove it up your arse..............

In the end Pakistan will be the looser. Already, FDI into Pakistan is coming down drastically. Even China has brought down its investments into your country.

Kasab was just a mule, the handlers are still sitting in Pakistan and spewing venom on India, same with Pathankot issue too. You did not even allowed Indian fact finding mission to Pakistan.

I don't even know what would be the point of this. Such talks have happened countless times already and with no positive outcome.

well well well!!!! Some trolling..I'd like to see the reaction of Pakistani officials when this question will land on their faces.. :D:D

I'm sure it'll be something like....

I dont think kashmir issue is ever going to be solved.Its been more than 65 years and we are close to nothing.it would have been better if both sides solved it after the partition.

The points on the agenda just showed that they are not serious for talks . It is just to satisfy international player that they are working on kashmir issues .

Pakistan should play talk talk with them .as they deliberately set points on agenda on which they know that no progress will be made .
