What's new

India secondary concern, China holds US economy card.

I dont think india is over depandent on americans in anyway.

we have a strategic partner ship in some cases with american. but e all know americans cant be trusted- just look at pakistan case.

and if china ever attack we will be on our own ! and thats how we must think , because you cant fight a war by keeping your gun on somebody Else's shoulder.

china - is developing and united states or india cant a damn thing about it.

but this artical is also a bit too over the top !!!!

US will attack china economically in case of Indo-China war :bunny:

   US will attack China via its crippled economy  In case of Indo china war US will send it aircraft carrier to help India as they did in 1971 with pakistan.i hope this time that carrier will reach its destination but dont know how long it will take to reach its destination.

India feels the pain: The US begs Beijing for*money

China currently owns about $700 billion worth of our Treasury bonds — by far the most in the world. According to reports, State Department officials had originally proposed that India be included in the itinerary of Clinton’s current first official tour abroad, but she struck it out. Gold is hovering around a $1 ,000 an ounce, which is within striking distance of a record. The US cannot ignore the Chinese. The battle between the dragon and the elephant has come to a head. There is a tectonic shift in international relations. China has woken up and for the first time in a couple of centuries can dictate terms. Kruschev is probably sitting up in his grave to take notice. He once said “We will bury you”. Karl Marx predicted that “capitalism would be sent to the dustbin of history”. Mao Ze Dung called the US “a paper tiger”. The British once said referred to China with the prodigious warning “ Don’t wake the the sleeping giant sleep “. Well according to the signal—the Red Dragon in Beijing has woken. Those who thought that Communism was dead and Capitalism is kicking butt take a look at four cities–Beijing, Moscow, New York and London. There is celebration in two and malaise in two. The world take note.

This has dramatic and long term implications on Asia and the world. Parag Khanna in his seminal book said it best “India has missed the boat”. The reality hasn’t hit home for most Indians— Superpower status was beyond reach!

The West careening from a debilitating financial crisis needed Chinese money and Pakistani soldiers. Without Chinese credit the US would be kneeling in front of the world. Without Islamabad’s active support, Washington would not have an exit strategy from the graveyard of Empires.

India has not relied on anyone strategically other than the Soviet Union.

The US may provide India with tactical support diplomatically from time to time in an effort to improve relations but they have no obligation to India.

If China Attacks with India, India will try o deal with it themselves.

But while on this subject may i request that we stop this war mongering, the very same that has been accused of the Indian media.
and continue with a heated rivalry as it should be.

Yes but the point is that the US will also suffer economically if it attacks China economically - military confrontation was always a long shot, but what China has done is ensure that even economic confrontation will remain confined to the likes of 'tariffs on Chinese tires to protect the American tire industry'.

The US is not doing any attacking on China, economic or otherwise, unless China poses a significant threat to US interests in some way, and so far the Chinese are primarily interested in just making more money, and the US is the worlds largest economy by a long shot (which means the Chinese are not going to pick unnecessary fights with the US either, unless significant interests are threatened), so you figure it out.:azn:

. . .
Oh but Indians were saying that US will attack China in case of Indo-China war .

Mam that depends. how much is 700 billion dollars? What will usa pick between 700 billion dollars and future? Are you trying to say america would lick china's feet for 700 billion dollars? Just like america licked iraq's feet for oil? Or did they? Mam america is america. It knows better how to threat country. Your country knows it better when america military chief grabbed mushraaf neck and whisperd in his ears that he will send pakistan back to stone age if pakistan wont allow america to attack taliban. In short america never goes under pressure. They knew what to do. India's real gemstone is indian ocean. America will do anything for it. America dont wag tail for money. In a war they knew very well what to do. Its china who worried america will attack them so they kept indulging in trade heavily. That's a sign of insecurity. India dont need to do that. China and pakistan has more threat from america. We dont need to do anything extra. i hope u got my point mam. thank you. in between i wanna say what's with the headline topic? How india came into play? Why drag india to satisfy some members? That's unfair.

.
america will ask india to attack china and will encourage china to attack india , they r playing nice and very good game thus they will bring both the countries under their feet

Not sure your point on the gold. The U.S. holds far more gold then China. And please explain what it is that China is dictating? All countries of the world have their economies intertwined. That's why they call it a global economy today.

also it is in the U.S. best interests if you think about it to have China hold a certain amount of our debt. It gives China and incentive to be concerned with the U.S. economy. What should concern Chinese is just how much debt they hold compared to their GDP.

Also you might want to thank capitalism for China's bright future. It was capitalism that invested the billions to make China what it is today economically. Chinese leaders saw what happened with Russia and Marxism/Leninism and knew they could not survive unless they incorporated Capitalism into their economy. They have not turned totally to it. But over time I suspect they will.

Do you believe Americans are as foolhardy as Indians?

US-China relationship is still moving along the guideline founded by Nixon/Kissinger and Mao/Zhou: mutual benefits. Unlike India: I prefer die with you.

US markets flooded with cheap Chinese imitations and Chinese Central bank flooded with US dollars. Three cheers to mutual benefit which basically benefits China which now has the US by the b@lls (just as it has Pakistan by the b@lls). India can do without such mutual benefits. Chinese are without doubt, devious, cunning and 'injurious to health' - to be avoided at all costs.

The chinese because of the artificial devaluation of there currency have accumulated a USD reserve that is pushed back into US assets. Now US will have to achieve an ever increasing value for its assets so their chinese friends can keep investing there reserves. This will obviously be difficult in there supersaturated consumption market. Chinese cannot come out of the US securities because taking out of even a small amout will be read by the forex market as a loss of faith in the USD which will result in every body trying to get out of USD. In such a situation while US will have to keep consuming and keep improving its EVA in higher value assets (obviously difficult with the rise of 4 BRIC nations and a huge EU), the chinese will have keep investing there USD in US to finance there consumption (obviously this will be possible in only a perpetually devalued currency). Couple this with the extreams of political systems. There is a great great deal more...but you can get the drift.....

I would change Chinese to PRC. You're a Bengali, are you sure that the Chinese in tangra are to be avoided at all costs?

With regards to this thread, India does not need the US to fight it's own battles.
