All politicians are the worst alternatives except the alternative of not using them. That, in a simple sentence, is what I would like to present to you as the most important lesson that our two countries (and Bangladesh) have learnt between them in 70 years. However awful the politician is, and they are plenty awful, they are better than the alternative. We have a slim chance of improvements of the morals and manners of politicians; we have no chances of that in the options, because of their lack of accountability.
