The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday handed over 20 Pakistani prisoners to the Pakistani Rangers at Wagah.
The prisoners were logged in various jails of India and were released after the completion of the sentences as per the Indian law, Indian media reported.
Most of them were arrested in India on the charges of inadvertent crossing. Out of 20 Pakistani prisoners, some of them were fishermen who had been jailed in Indian state of Gujarat.
The prisoners urged both governments to release other inmates who have completed their sentences.
Delays in the identification processes are preventing Indian and Pakistani prisoners from being released on time.

Why are they punished in the 1st place. Pakistan and India should come up with a mechanism to hand over such people immediately, after all its not like they want to cross over and stay in Jails, they are poor fishermen who cross over by mistake in search of fish.

Maybe because there have been incidents before where terorists crossed borders dressed as fisherman and created hell in our cities.... not taking chances anymore...

Good, we should release some Indians in return.

This comment; is it because:

1. You are happy about it and want to reciprocate with a similar gesture of goodwill.

or

2. You just wanted to point out that there are Indians also in Pakistani jails on similar charges.

You are difficult to understand!! :D

btw please see my avatar, it is not showing the animation, can anything be done about it. :(

This is BS and you know it, the reason why we never really move forward is because of attitude like this.

This is what happens in both sides. We will never move forward if you don't admit our government has been involved in shady dealings with terrorists in India.

whats BS.... The fact that waterways have been used for entering and causing terror activities in Indian territory, I don't think so..... We are just trying to protect ourself.... If we find nothing against these so called 'innocent' fisherman, we are happy to send them home with lots of gifts....

Such activities are done from both sides and not Pakistan alone. Indians like to claim the moral high ground here which is not the case to be, because they too are equally sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan, in fact there direct sponsoring resulted in the breakup of Pakistan but that's another topic.

To send terrorists across does not need to be in the form of fishermen as land route would be much more convenient. A joint mechanism between Indian and Pakistan can over come the decade old bad breath but to say that every thing Pakistan does is terrorism or the whole Nation is terrorist as said by one Indian, is absurd and BS.

Quoted for Truth .
