China is not short of medicines, its just many people are stocking up unnecessary supplies at home that make shortage of drugs in some areas. China produces the largest amount of medicines in the world.

Meaning, there is a shortage in the market, regardless of the reason.

OMICRON came at the end of Dec 2021, Chinese vaccines were designed for Alpha and were effective up until Delta. Pfizer does not work for Omicron, get it, my relatives in the states all got it. TWICE.

India stopped testing, that's the reason you don't see any news about millions of cases. China only stopped testing asymptomatic cases 2 weeks ago as we already stopped zero covid.

US still has some testing for symptomatic cases like China but they probably peaked aepund June. No vaccines work against Omicron infection. Lucky Omicron is mild.

Roughly a dozen bodies, assuming half are there due to natural causes and flu. That's very low, 1.4billion people and you assuming 0.1% dead, we should be seeing thousands of bodies daily not dozens.

Chinese death numbers are around 9mil annually, and normally peak during winter time for obvious reasons.
