But it hurts when it looses both... bcoz J&K is the main source of water for north India...a back bone of Indian Economy...

And Arunachal is imp bcoz it will keep most of North East secure from forming independent state's...and china may get access to Bay of Bengal threatening the entire south india....

Besides these meusures India should try talking seriously to resolve all outstanding issues. Military solution is not an option for either country. Theres too much to loose and will play into western hands to hold the neighbourhood back.

I remember reading somewhere on the forum about loading your gun with big bullets so that you dont have to fire them

my friend you are the second largest importer of weapons after India.

And for your kind information there is a offset policy in indian defence procurement which requires a 30 % (50 % in case of MCRA) reinvestment in Indian defence sector

I was saying this it in the context as nehru said "Arunachal is place where no piece of grass grows"

But read my further points.....I expressed this of frustration bcoz even after spending so much on Defence we are not able to stop bomb blast and insurgency in India....

So i stated the kashmir thing after thinking what might happen if an independent kashmir is formed....

Moreover all this expansion is only a catching upto China and is not a unilateral move. For example the PLA has about 40 divisions, cruise missile regiments on the Indian border and it is only natural that India matches it from a defense perspective.

The MoD must fastrrack raising the Arunachal and Sikkim scouts and also move the Gorkha regiments to the Chinese border and fill the gap caused on the Western Border by raising a Gujjar regiment (a long standing demand of the Gujjars themselves).

The advnatge is Gorkhas are more acclimatized to the mountain conditions on the Chinese border and Gujjars to the desert like western frontier.
