Finally Russians find out that India was playing them for so long. India was taking advantage of Russia's sore relations with USA & in return India had nothing to offer.

Russia have chosen Pakistan smartly...they can now get access to Arabian Sea & develop their Siberian & Central Russian region via Gwadar port of Pakistan which is on the mouth of strait of Hormuz. Plus they can develop their ties with Muslim world too.

I wish this all to happen in reality as soon as possible

Two points that you can not grasp. The MI-24/35 is the most heavily armored helicopter in the word, it can, for instance, withstand 12.7mm rounds to its rotor bladed. In fact, the entire helicopter is protected to withstand 12.7mm rounds. Even with direst hits by stinger type rounds to surface missiles, MI-24's were able to land, most other attack helicopters can not even take hits from 7.62.

Those are not a big deal for such a tank like heavy helicopter. T129 Atak is also able to withstand against 12,7mm rounds from blades and all fuselage including cockpit compartments.

But I have heard that T129 is an expensive DEAL for PAKISTAN , is that TRUE ??? will it be offered to Pakistan on Soft loan or Credit basis ??

There was a report from Dawn - a Pakistani newspaper whose authenticity couldn't be confirmed about these helicopters to be delivered in a few weeks when the deal is signed , what do you think about that?

Bro there is a massive thread in the Turkish section on the T-129. Our Turkish bros are giving three free choppers with the deal and facilities set up on our soil. It's better than what we could possibly imagine.

Anyway the MI-35 deal has nothing to do with the ATAK.

Thank you for your post. MI 35 is a gem of a chopper----massive fire power against man machine & anything else + the ability to put troops on the ground @ the same time.

The tub on the MI 25 was made out of titanium---it could take the hit of an rpg on its front---. Is the tub made of same material for the MI 35!!!

Unless stated otherwise it should use the same titanium.

The MI-35 being a larger, heavier helicopter does not make it an easy target. The MI-35 has many strengths that make it a difficult helicopter to shoot down. One being its heavy armor, that not only protect the craft itself but the pilots, the other advantage that the MI-35 has is its speed, it is one of the worlds fastest helicopters, simulated training revealed that even a well trained MANPAD operator has just seconds to acquire an MI-24/35 if it is doing a low-fast run.

Newer MI-35s also have exhaust defusers as well counter measures such as flares to dramatically reduce the chances of being hit with a MANPAD. And in the event that the MI-35 does get hit the chances of the MI-35 crashing are slim.

You don't need Gunship + heli for troops movement transport. We already have Mi17 for that purpose. Pakistan lacking in Gunship not Transport. Mi35 is big fail Gunship ... shotdown easily... the size is extremely big and easy to track on target..

You are missing the point. if you were a soldier would you prefer to be in a slower, less armored helicopter or a faster more armored helicopter?

Good points. But do you know how the Iraqi insurgents were able to shoot them down with LAAG's (light anti aircraft guns) during the current crisis in Iraq??

My guess is that is was a lucky shot into the engine.

India disrespected Russian fighter jet program by selecting low grade French planes for its fighter choice

So its highly hypocritical that India is demanding Russia not do business for its own interest. If anything they should have offered assistance to Russia to conduct business with Pakistan

IAF is and was facing shortage of spare-parts from russia
russia has hiked prices after the contract has been signed multiple times
We have russia transport planes but they are not capable to short landing for muddy fields
Mig35 wasnt a boast to technology, we already have Mig29 in upgraded form
Russia also sells weapons to china, they are our foe
yes it is upto russia to sell weapons to pakistan, but then it is our choice not to buy weapons from russia also ... works both ways
