India purchasing RQ-11 “Raven” ? but why !!

Nothing is confirmed, the way I read it was that production of the RQ-11 was on the table not guaranteed. There are obviously a lot of things the US is offering to India no need to fixate on this one product.

But the things they offer and the things we demand are far far away from eachother. They offer us government to government sales, we want licence productions. They offer us custom data links and upgrade options from the OEMs, we want ToT or critical techs and own customisations. they offer RQ-11, we want RQ-4...
If that is all what Obama brings to the Republic Day visit, we might see a lot of PR but no substance again. I still hope that they get at least some of the helicopter deals or the additional M777 order cleared.
