India posts slowest economic growth since 2014

Bunkum.

Stop toeing Machiavellian Modi's line. He is ruling by fooling.

Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand, they also rolled out their GST but their economy did not face any such hit.

Who are you fooling with above gibberish to support Modi?
I don't know why you keep harping on Modi. The man has my vote once again in 2019. He will get elected again.

The usual suspects will obviously vote for Mamta and the ilk.
My worry is that the media spreading a message of intolerance and the cow protection gangs only abetting them will turn away a bunch of the people in the middle/fence sitters.

That will be devastating.

Most manufacturing slowed down to accommodate the new tax structure. Everyone was confused for a one month period.

It's perfectly fine. Demonetization was the most determined effort to fight corruption by any leader in the recent years. As a long term corrective it is was good effort- we'll pay the price with 6 month economic slowdown but if it ad succeeded, it would have been worth it. Meanwhile the joke anti- corruption campaign that Xi is leading in China is the kind of joke we should avoid. Maybe @Jlaw @Han Warrior and @Chinese-Dragon should spend more time looking at the pathetic track record in fighting corruption that their own leaders have.

It was strange to see so many "Chinese" opening so many new threads abt anything negative in India!!
That much of obsession is...
Probably compensates the for bruised ego from Doklam standoff ;)

Triggered momo. :D

You are wrong Chinese are far ahead of India in terms of anti-corruption

Below is the proof:

In a span of 9 years they have lost $1.3 trillion in corruption than what India has lost since its independence

In other words, if we break down this $1.3 trillion.

Thats $140 billion corruption losses per year

$12 billion in a month

$400 million a day

$16.6 million in an hour

By the time you are done reading this post, corrupt Chinese Govt official has laundered off $1.38 million illegally which probably is the life saving several Chinese migrant workers.

11 ping's anti-corruption drive FTW its has made China a corruption powa:china:

The reality is China's growth rate increased to 6.9% last quarter and India's growth rate plummeted to 5.7%...
Lol if you stop 86% of the currency of the country the economic activity will get slow

Soon more currency infused into system it will increase further

What has an Indian corruption drive got to do with a Chinese one? Why the need to always compare? is China corrupted? Yes of course, even with executions and disciplinary actions, we are still facing problems in this department, India OTOH would be in an even worse condition given the inefficient courts and lenient punishment.

Until today no Indian can tell me why a higher denominated 2K Rs was introduced to fight corruption.. How does 99% of the money turning white help in fighting corruption btw?

executions my @$$. Everyone knows the 'anti-corruption' executions are essentially political executions on Jiang Zemin supporters. Higher denomination notes were introduced because we needed new notes with a design that had never been used before. Because 2000 replaced 1000 notes, only half the notes by volume would be available in the market. Meanwhile your generals have accumulated so much gold that it takes several trucks to move them.

You can assume whatever you want, you think Jiang supporters are not corrupted?. Are we talking about India or China now?:azn:

So Rs2k was for a new design? Why not new Rs1k note with new dsign? People don't introduce larger notes to reduce money laundering genius. Why not Rs6k, then you can have even less volume.. Pathetic attempt to cover up bhai. Stop trying so hard. Indian demonetization is now a global joke.

reducing volumes makes tracking easier genius. reducing total volume of currency also pushes people to digital payments which has happened. You can introduce a million $$ note that no one uses too. But of course if people can't use it then it is of no use. Point- even if it failed demonetization was a good effort. It is better that we keep trying until we find something that does work than stick to sham anti-corruption projects like Xis. Jiang supporters might be corrupt- but only Jiang supporters are not corrupt. Xi supporters will remain protected in this sham.

Sure, ask the common man if they can break up Rs2K easily genius. When I was in India, the most common pricing was between Rs 100-Rs 500, even breaking up Rs1000 was hard. Reducing volume? What kind of logic is that, no country in this world would introduce higher denominations to fight black money, higher denominations actually make money laundering easier by reducing 'volume'. You can't even print enough money, distribute money properly and you talk about fighting a war. Hopeless.. 99% of the money turned white....so much for corruption fighting genius.

yeah...that's why 70% of currency was 1000, because 'most common pricing' was between Rs.100 and Rs.500.

In fact, that is the truth. When you go out to buy something the stuff costs you between 500 and 100, then why was 80% of the currency in circulation Rs.1000? Because people were stuffing their mattresses with it. That's why demonetization made sense. Made the mattress money worthless overnight. 'Filed' demonetization crashed real estate prices by 20%- the biggest money laundering hub.

as for war- you just ran with your tail behind your legs sissy. Better not talk about it.
