The Indian government doesn’t work quietly, it signals its intentions in order to crowdsource an excuse for its actions.

There are two people from IOJ/K loyal to India (although the interviewee Devender Rana of the National Conference is arguing against the abrogation of 370 on more technical grounds) debating the “controversial domicile law” in the following video.

The main points I’ve noticed

1. Mr. Rana states over and over again that the demographic changes should not be emphasized (should not be spoken about) and that if Kashmiris are ensure of their special rights (as agreed upon decades ago) then they should feel they have nothing to worry about. He admits though that demographic changes are going to happen but “permanent residents” will have a special status as “permanent residents” and domiciles will not be given those same rights.
2. He goes on to say that some rules/agreements from decades ago should be changed. (undermining his argument in point # 1)
3. Furthermore he says that if Kashmiris can be given enough jobs they will be more likely to accept Indian rule (a tactic used on Palestinians to keep them docile while the demographics change all around them)
4. He continues, industries have been brought in decades ago, at least 25-30 years ago, but it is the Kashmiris who are unemployable. (So all the talk of new development projects by the BJP, even if it happens, is hot air, where they will bring in outside labor)
5. The PDP have highlighted the danger of demographic changes to their credit.
6. Then it get interesting at 17:00; Hindutuva ideology is dictating Indian actions in Kashmir; one nation, one people, etc. so it is reaffirmation that agreements made with the Indian state will be broken and because the rest of indian civil society states silent, they are giving consent to what is being done in their name. (Thank Allah Pakistan was formed when we had the chance)
7.He states that there are already significant fissures between Jammu (Hindu community) and Kashmir (Muslim Community) that are getting deeper
8. He says that the young people are in or almost in a point of hopelessness.
9. Kashmir is a 5000 year old civilization with its own written history which can not be demolished
10. He states the political leaders with either restricted or jailed after Aug. 5, 2019. His party had filed a case in the Indian Supreme Court but because his party leaders are in detention, they have not formulated a plan to counter the abrogation of 370 and the domicile law beyond that.

This should give an incentive to Pakistan to get its economic house in order and have a more robust economy on its side of the border. Such that the economic argument for Kashmiris not seeking independence from India is negated. Similar to West Germany lagging behind East Germany until the 1960s when it really picked up and surpassed East Germany. This is how Pakistan should utilize CPEC.

It’s up to the Kashmiri public to convince the leaders to stand for independence once and for all.

It's called rude awakening but looks like Kashmiris are finally awakening.

Afghanistan can defeat two superpowers with will and steadfastness why can't kashmiris kick out a much weaker and broken state like India.

Only thing kashmiris were lacking was the will among masses but thanks to Modi the chief terrorists things are changing fast on ground and kashmiris now know exactly what needs to be done for survival otherwise their beautiful Kashmir will be littered like rest of India.
